So the first car I ever had was an '88 244 glt. I loved that thing. Poor thing was cubed less than a year ago. The whitewalls looked so sweet on the GL's.. I actually did have new lenses all around shortly after this pic was taken. The demise of this car was the tranny. :-(

oh well.. i have another one now!!!11

You're not gonna get a lot of commiseration if you had the car destroyed at the crusher after the transmission took a crap on you.

I hate white 244's. They are ugly. Off-white too.

i didnt cube it by choice.

no one wanted it. it sat in my yard with a take me sign for almost a year while i drove my green 850. i never had the money or the brains to fix it when i had it. i've learned more about the cars since i havent had one than when i did. i had a junkyard get it and my friend asked me where he could get parts and i told him the junkyard that had it and he called and they said they cubed all of their 240s .. it was sad to me too. :-(

i feel the same way about my first car, i'd so overpay for that car now if i could find it, or it's twin. that's why i don't plan on selling my two prized POS's, and why i can't believe some of the members trying to sell their projects. growing up my dad told me about the cars he had, and how he wished he never sold any of them.

My first car, 85 744T [yes, i had a sedan before my wagon attachment haha].

Rusted away, and had a few problems. Parted it, got crushed, but alot of people put the parts to good use.

People sell their projects/ cars [like myself], because sometimes, things change and a car jsut doesn't matter all that much when you need a job.

I think I saw your car sitting in your yard while I was driving around a couple of times. How long ago was it sitting out there? I never stopped to look because I had my wife with me and a project car already sitting in the yard. These things are bad for a marriage.

Several months back. I live in the cove. It had a crappy little paper sign in the window saying take me.
