( Silver is the NEW pic sorry wasn't clear enough!)
One of My latest projects has been to re-do the color on the grille/surrounds on the GT. Changing the color of it was a total pain, sanding on the grill was very tedious yet worth the effort now that it is done. I would like to know what You think about the new color compared to the old. Tim

My vote is for black, but if you like the lighter color, you could do a grey, or gunmetal color...just a thought.

Is your car a Canadian or US car? AFAIK the US ones were all silver with silver grilles, but Canada got some/all (?) black ones with black grilles.

Looking at my car, it looks good with the silver,

but I think your car looked better with black. Looks good either way, though!!

AFAIK it's a US spec car. I has been painted black by a previous owner and I thought with all the black a lighter grille would make it look a little nicer. The hood and slightly mangled passenger side and lower panels will be fixed when I put the +T motor in and color on hood and engine bay will go back to original silver since thats the long term plan for color is yet I'm planning on going for a slightly pearl type of silver since I think the stock color is kinda drab. I really like the silver, I just re-did my grille w/ a chrome trim to it, i think the lighter color highlights look great.

Funny over 100 views and less than twenty votes? It looks like most think the black looks better yet on this car it's supposed to be silver, not neccisarily the shade I chose but almost. And the grill/surrounds has been black for at least a few years so I was hoping that the new color was better liked, yet I think it's just my cheap digital camera doesnt have enough resolution to make it "pop" like it does in person. I agree on the black though...Silver looks too..."bright" on black cars like that..

I just did the opposite a little while pack and painted my non-turbo grille :-( (only one not broken) black. It looks better on a black car than silver.

I voted silver without thinking about it ... 'cos IMHO, the original colour is actually more "grey" than "silver". If you paint it silver, it's going to look like you tried for some sort of bling but failed; whereas the original grey will just look neat & clean. :)

WOW talk about thread ressurection(sp?)
Yes I haven't been on here in a LONG while, had family issues that needed adressed and made computer time seem insignificant, yet it's mostly worked out so hopefully I can get back to adding My 2 cents
Well now on to the grille.......it has been silver(actually used paint called aluminum) for just over a month now and IMO the front now looks WAY better than it ever has before.
Having an almost all black car was somewhat dull when it was parked with other cars with the grille black(even with a "purple" hood)
Yet now with the silver grille (that matches the wheels in color very well) the car seems to jump out at you like it never did before.
I have been given compliments from total strangers telling me thats a REALLY nice car, that I never heard when the grille was black. So I'm now sure at least as long as it is a black car the grille will be "silver" (hopefully by this time next year the car will be pearl silver not black and then of course a silver grille wouldn't be the right color)
Thanks for the comments though guess it's time to take a few more pics and see if a larger portion of the entire car will provide a better prospective on how it looks!

BTW the only purple now is the hood and side trim, both bumpers are stock commando aluminum and the airdam is also now black. Tim

I'm a fan of the black but I like it the more I look at it. I also like that it is different.
