'Bout time someone did some styling like this to a 940....and the fact that its Griz's just makes it a load funnier ;-)

I know its a bit rough, but it was only a quick job...

HAHA! Excellent! I actually used Paint Shop Pro 7 (hangs head in shame..), but I must grab Photoshop from the GF sometime.
Joking aside, this wasn't actually a piss taking exercise - I genuinely think that front end suits that kind of bumper/spoiler/splitter. Discuss....obviously better applied than that!
cheers

what bumper is that? i think it fits pretty well too. and what photoshop is best for noobs

It's from a member's (I forget who - was posted the other day) Audi A4 Avant (not sure which model...a sports one obviously).
I'd learn the tricks of the trade with Paint...seriously. Not that I'm any kind of expert!

What happened to the rear p'shop with the twin pipes?

Dunno, but it wasn't me that did it...
I know its not quite right, but you get the idea - something more agressive looking - with a gaping 'mouth' like that. The old-shape RS4 has an even better version of that front-end.

it contradicts with the "brick" form... too roundy for the purpose.

Someone really does need to make a good body kit for Volvos, and I'm not talking about the newer non-brick bricks or that wierd looking body kit that just makes it look like the car is drooping a bit. I want something that will compliment the styling of my 240, as beautiful as we all know 240's are, but also make it look very agressive.

Hmm a little off topic but on the topic of we need better body kits I agree. I have been thinking of taking a 5 series beemer body kit adn changing it over to fit my 740. There are a few nice kits out there for those cars. Mainly I want a stupid fast car before I go stupid on the body though so it'll have to wait. I do still have a pile of Toyota bumpers from teh sumemr I was going to repair and use as a body kit lol.

The 240 kit (partially) in this pic....
http://www.tuning.cz/komanche/mojevolvo.jpg
...is a piece of sex. From memory its a Plast and Son kit.
There are 'fuller' pictures of it, but none of them make it look quite this good.
Apologies for the full-frontal on the ugly duckling...

lol, soooo tempting.....NOT! i know your just talking the piss, but serously, the komfort waggon will NEVER get a body kit, nor will the rust and paint be fixed, as then i couldnt drive it as i do now in the country, for fear of scratching the crap out of it all. She will look as she does now, all money will be spent on performance mods, as thats the way a car should be modded.

looks like a 850 bumper mod'd to fit. can somebody do a ps w/ the driver on the correct side of the car?
foggyjames
11-28-2004, 11:16 AM
:-P
It's clearly heavily based on the 850 front end, but its definitely a kit specially for the 240.

now i have nothing against a body kit if it was designed and tested to reduce the drag of the car, but stuff like this only creates drag and slows you down, they also look crap and stop you getting in to carparks and over speed humps.....
Griz (body kit hater)

the link is useless to us US brickers :-/ but they have the best 240 kits by far.
i thought they had an "850 style bumper" kit a while back, that was my favorite.
