Well it has bug juice all over it, but I finally finshed blacking out the front.
Now all I have to do is refit the grill, finish welding up the body, get it to Mikey for prep and paint and it will finally start looking good.

Have you changed out those worn out and twisted fornt seats?
Don't you know you're not supposed to have bumper trim? The part that goes on top of the bumper to seal against the body. No-one else has it, why are you bucking the trend? lol

ravennexus i think if you blacked out the housings on your headlights it would complete the look.
Here is mine. I also blacked out the non-reflective surface in the turnsignals.

Edit:
Here is a better pic (older but larger with no snow on car) without sidemarkers etc.

yeah. maybe when the lights are bit older. when i got it had seized adjusters so failed the MOT. so those are brand new lights and i don't fancy pulling them apart at the mo.

Yeah my bumper trim is on the out. It's all jacked, half of it is missing.
The V was Mikey's idea, and yes I still got my fcuked seats. They are way down on the super long list of stuff I got to do like clutch, bov, MORE welding, paint, wheels, wb o2 among other things.
How did you guys de-chrome those bits? That's something I want to do too, but haven't yet figured out how.
Cheers

sand down to rough up the surface
a few coats of acid etch primer

How's the dechroming on the sides going. Are you welding, grinding down and filling or did you decide to try using lead?

Thanx! Gotta love this board. Learn something new every day it seems.

I'll paint it as soon as I can I'm gonna try and get some stuff done on the 122 first. It's been on the back burner for way to long.

I've got 9 holes left to do. Had to put it off for a while because I've been working, coaching b-ball and our football team has started practice.
Will prob be late Jn early Feb before I can get it to Mikey for body and paint. And to think that my original plan was to have it ready befor SE 4.0:rofl:

I figure about the time it finally starts to look good I'll roach the motor and start on the 16 valve turbo motor.
