the 2 tone is sex...go with 2 classic colors that go well with the carbon hood and rims, and you'll have a beautiful car...**** you already do

nice find man

Damn these things are growing on me. You know what would look cool for the paint? Gloss black on top with the cf hood and gunmetal grey on the bottom. Especially with those wheels.

Keep the big bumpers, rip off the rubber, weld up the holes, and then polish them or powdercoat black. Maybe drill through the bumper shocks and compress them to bring the bumpers in a little. Or just put on '83-'85 bumpers with turbo trim...

I think those are a good car to start with. I think the biggest thing asthetically, it NEEDS to come down two or three inches. I mean, the car, to me, looks like a comfortable cruiser that should look cool and be slammed, like a 50s ford or merc.

Rock on with the italian swede!!!

Good idea on the turbo trim I will take that off of my 83 244Ti before it goes to the crusher.
Maybe brown with the copper on top???

That is the combo I am using with my '79, except a stock flathhood. Thos late fenders make it really look like a Euro.

start building a bumped up 3.0L b280 then swap it out when the b28 goes south. it may take a while...those motors are better than what people give credit for. my auto tranny fried and the compression on my motor was still almost perfect with 100k on the clock.

I have been shopping for a while now and managed to gather up about 45% of the items and am collecting more..

I am going to kill you and steal all your stuff.

Why can't I find a 240 locally, let alone a bertone, in that kind of condition. :grrr:

anyways, congrats on the nice ass find. :)

I'm sorry man, I'm not trying to put you or your car down or anything, but I really can't stand bertones. It just looks wierd to me, give me a regular old 242ti anyday...sorry, once again, I'm not trying to insult you or anything. In fact, I probably shouldn't make this post...but I'm going to anyway.

I am sorry you feel that way I had to sacrifice my 142 for the Bertone. I picked up the betone fro $1,500 RUNNING and after I sold the 142 still had some money left over..

The photoshop looks awesome but can you do the bottom copper and top black.

i like piscos second Pshop the best, ill have to wait and see if he can better it when he isnt trashed :-P

i think with 2 colors like that, youll need some sort of contrasting color to break them up, like a red pinstripe inbetween the brown/black....very sexy and very cool!

if i were to pinstripe the color dividing line, i think something like a green would break up the two and offer nice contrast, im sure there is a pinstriper in your town somehwere todd, that you could ask for ideas

Awesome Photoshops guys, some of those look really really slick.

So when you sit in the bertone does the roof feel noticably shorter compared to a regular 240? Like is it closer to your head? I really like those bertones, but my next beast will be a 245.

Only time I noticed it was when trying to climb into Rob's drivers seat, a sparco corsa with high side bolsters. With any seat like that, it gets easier to climb in an out after a while, but the first time I tried, the roof was a noticable hindrance.

Your guy's pshop are simply out of this world looks like I will have to get three bertones to paint them all these diff color schemes.I am very partial to the black top and safron bottom. Also those tritons on the blue car are looking tempting to me.

Amen. I hate the "Vader Face". It ranks up there with the Edsel as one the automotive worlds ugliest designs. It was what put me off volvos for years.

The bertone would be pretty slick with a flathood and round headlights, I'm surprised I've never seen that. Those bertones are really growing on me...

That wouldn't fit right on a Bertone, because of the cowl panel in front of the windshield.

That is my favorite look for the 240's. Damn lucky europeans! When are you going to do the fender switch? Every time I see a real group A car I kick myself for not switching out fenders before I painted my car.

I am hoping to have the car done by May 05. But I have sooo many ideas and so little time.. But I am seriously considering the all blue or all Safron color. With maybe a set of BBS wheels of the eighteen inch diameter. That is the problem when you got to paint something so many color choices and only one car to put it on. :???: :???:

Get another bertone down the road. Problem solved. What I didn't do on the 242 I'll do on our 244. To be perfectly honest I originally wanted to change fenders to 86+ on my car and go with red paint but I chickened out (door jambs). Then again had I done that I would have wanted it to be black again. I've done the 83 flathood thing and I've done 7 inch rounds now I'm doing 4 rounds and flathood grille which oddly enough is my new favorite. My point is there is no perfect way. I'm looking at my two next cars in the future and I'm not even happy with what I have. I have so many grille and headlight combos I can change the look of my car in 20 minutes. I may even start switching headlights and grilles day to day just to f--- with people. Do something new that you dig, and do it with gusto!

IMO Pisco you should put the angel eyes on your quad round setup..
I also have a 82 242 Ti to do somtething diff with, but most importantly the paint on the bertone is going to make or break the car...
