Codec is Divx 5. I had no problems downloading, took only 8-9 min, plays back fine.

http://www.performancealloys.com/ have those wheels for $468 ea. and free shipping. They also have a neat 5 spoke design of the same wheel in many sizes for less.

I love your car. It's nice to see a modded 245 for a change.

Holy hell! That thing burns out at speeds that my car can't even drive at.

Obviously has a serious traction problem. Driven like a sprint car on a dirt track. Too much horsepower is always entertaining.

Horsepower:
If some is good, more is better, and too much is just right. :)

I was browsing magazines at the local store and Performance BMW was featuring this BMW so i bought it to read about it.

I was looking through the pictures and it shows the guys workshop and there is a picture of a redblock awaiting a session on the engine dyno.

on the website it says thats its an 3.8L becaues I know the older m5 had the 3.8, but I didnt recall a 3.6 straight. I can recall a 3.5 straight six from the 635s but I dont recall a car ending in x36 for bmw. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows.

Oh from my previous post sorry, the 3.8L where never V8's, they where straigh sixes, but I believed that they where 3.8 in the M5 at least for the US models that is.

In Europe the BMW M5 E34 came with two engines A3.6L 315bhp engina and a 3.8L 34obhp engine

The first engine in this M5 was a 3.8L who dynoed 1066BHP @ 1.6bar boost... That engine died when the gearbox was torn apart in 3rd gear with boost @1.6 bar.. The engine rev limiter couldnt hold it back when the gbox died, so he saw 12000rpm on the logger, causing SERIOUS damage to the valves, pistons, and head..

A 3.8liter was hard to get, so he chose a 3.6L, and stroked the crank, so the engine is now 3.7L

The engine produced 1033Bhp @1.6 bar..

to you who says he has a serious traction problem.. best 1/4 mile result is 9.41sec 239km/h :-D

I think I have seen the video of him on the quarter mile. Is it the one where he's next to the supra?

The same bhp/L for a 2.3 would be 642hp. I think that might be difficult to drive. ;-)

Does anyone have a link for that?

Now that i've watched it... damn that thing is impressive. It would be nice having to go gentel on the throttle in third gear due to traction problems. I only get the same feeling on ice, and that's not even cool at all :-(

You can choose your country & It'll give you the correct price. Otherwise I think it's pounds.

I still cannot get this vid to play properly. I have downloaded the codec pack mentioned above, have tried re-configuring things in Media Player, and is is still choppy. The sound will play correctly, but the video is rythmically choppy. It will play smooth for about 3 seconds, then freeze for 1, play for 3, and so on. Does anyone have an idea why this would happen?

Help! The video looks awesome, but I can't get it to work right.

Vid works for fine for me.

Now every time he shifts, is that compressor surge or some kind of weird blowoff valve? I'm pretty sure that's what compressor surge sounds like, and I've heard it on several other HIGH HP cars, but why do they let it happen? There must be a reason, else they'd all be running huge BOV's.

turbobrick211

It is not comp surge. It is the un-muffled external wastegate opening up and dumping exhaust.

It is not comp surge. It is the un-muffled external wastegate opening up and dumping exhaust.Nope I don't think so. I've been running an open dump external wastegate for the past 3 months.... I know what that sounds like  . When it opens it's more like a loud whooooooooooooshing noise, or loud exhaust howl. Not the chirp chirp chirp. Plus, the noise in that movie is only heard while shifting, not when getting to full boost and staying there. So with all due respect I think you're on the wrong track there  .
