Thanks guys for a great day. 744ti ran great all day!

Big thanks goes to foggy for his audio skills, chesh and rupert for their drink funds!

Griz - why did you take a pic of rupert and chesh in this position?

Ladies and gentlemen...I give you...105bhp of rubber burning goodness.
http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/photopost/data/500/74Dscn1963s.jpg

Mine is the straight one...the curvy ones are V6_Man's.

Admittedly, with these new tyres it took a couple of attempts and a 5000rpm clutch dump. With a LSD a 300 would give lethal traction.

cheers

what size are the speakers? 6.5"? did they fit right in?

foggyjames
12-12-2004, 06:35 PM
Yes, 6.5". The previous owner had made mounting plates from MDF. A bit ghetto, but it seems to work ok!

Looks like a nice day out.

What are those grey things in the sky?? are they called clouds?? I can't remember the last time I saw them.

I actually managed to get 6' splits to fit under the stock speaker covers in the front of the 740T

Just needed to trim the steel speaker surrounds back a little...

Sweeet maaaate!

nothing but turbo

Yeah....pretty much owned ;-)

Having said that, I wasn't trying a burnout....just a little wheelspin. Burnouts involve standing on the brakes and other forms of vehicle abuse...time for linelockers!

I've been wondering WTF a 'komfort wagon' is for ages, but was scared that if I asked it would start some sort of mammoth thread that I simply couldnt be bothered reading.
However, since someone else has asked and its not my fault, please enlighten us.

Not personally. Maybe some of the other guys can provide?

It was literally just a flat piece of 6mm MDF covered in black vinyl - nothing clever at all!

ok, sounds nice, does it fit nicely? =), can you close the door without it tuching and stuff?

foggyjames

From memory, it was a pretty tight fit to close the door with the grille in place, so fitment probably depends on the size of your speaker grilles more than this piece of wood!
