Agreed, that kit looks like it came right out of the factory. Very nice, understated.

Wow that is an old pic of my car!! The kits really do change the look of the car in a subtle.. yet noticable way. The only thing I don't like about the brickstylz kit is the back.. it's just akward. But i don't know how it could be done any other way.

My commando bumpers don't help much either!

Yeah, that's my only pet peeve as well. Maybe if the valance was rolled instead of squared off like it is? I suppose someone could take the kit and saw off the square part and glass up something in the right form for it...but that'd be a lot of work on an expensive kit.

I wish there were more options on both 200 and 700 series cars.
Some of those kits on brickstylz are really expensive. Then, if you are in the US, shipping hurts on top.
Maybe, we should make our own ;-)

or maybe we should figure out what fits our cars anyway.
for instance. apparently some civic body kits fit s-10 pickup trucks. (according to my roommate) so i bet their 1000 body kits out there that fit volvos with some sanding or some cutting and streching. its just a matter of being in the right places at the right times to try your friend's body kits before they throw em on their cars.
but more importantly. body kits are dumb agrivation. (in new england anyway)

Considered it.
Or actually many 850 parts do fit over to 2xx's, with slight modifications.

I saw one of these on a car here when i was driving through detroit...it doesn't look good on a car if it is a lighter color....trust me.
Dark it would look sweet.

It feels nice to drive something that looks good... I'm guessing about 80% of people judge cars by how they look, the other percentage only care about performance (that figure should probably be 90%).
So when you have a hot date, do you want to pull up in a 20 year old volvo that looks like ass... or do you want to pull up in something that looks like you care about and maintain.
I care more about performance deep in my heart, but I also hate being embarrassed by how my car looked...

i too like bodykits that add a subtle amount of styling to the car. the brickstylz kit is OK except for the back.
i am making an modified version of my front airdam [the deeper one] fill in the area between the wheel arch and the airdam

Jessie, that is brilliant. Will it have the normal mounting points? I'd recomend having a mounting point that attaches to that fender hole behind the side bumper cover so the bumper can hide the mounting point it as opposed to the brickstyles kit. That way those with commandos can still use it without that gap. I'd be very interested in having something like this on my car. I'm serious.

if you want one of these kits go to http://www.spoilers.com/clearance.htm then go down to volvo and select 740 & 760. they are made out out fiberglass. Cost is $650 +$80 to ship to west coast. I am thinking about getting one early next year, will post pics if I do.

Well it actually happens to be from a Corolla (AE86, Sprinter Trueno)...So Im guessing it did come from Initial-D....Notice the front where it was flipped horizontally, and has "Trueno" spelled backwards... ;-)

That is so true. Looks mean alot when it comes to cars. My white 944 is literally pristene (it's too good for me) and the difference between that car and my old gray one is night and day. The car is taken more seriously and the asthetics of it bring a smile to my face everytime I walk up to it.

It's not from initial D it's from a real car.
Not one of the ones used in the live action movie either.

Hmmm...that's decent, but something doesn't look quite right. IMO the boxyness of the 240 just doesn't fit w/ the rounded bumper and fenders.

I saw it at London year before last [he wasn't there this year?]. Did he get rid of the B21?
And, that car is really nice. I flipped through his build album, it is an all steel wide body. I won't tell how much he spent, but, it was a nice amount..
Last I saw it, the B21 was still in there and he was thinking another volvo motor, or a V8.

Humm nice to hear its a B21..its it a F+T...FT..or just F? big fan of the B21FT engines..simple and quick enough..just only if i could get the comp up to about 8-1 or 9:1...that would be GREAT.

its a b21 but everything was shipped away and re balanced and machined. So when it was all put back EVERY part in and on that engine is like brand new.
