The grey car will need a new dp when I put the header on... Might as well re-do the whole exhaust.

Same. Short and neat. Not as much pipe to drag on the ground. :badboy:

I like the side, as long as you do it right it'll be cool. That 2nd car is freakin hot though.

Side so it sh**s flame lol. One day I will weld the rear doors shut on my car, put in a big cage and a big turbo and fart flames with each shift.

Rear exit is more quiet to the driver, good for hearing the engine. Side exit may not get you passed an emissions test if that is an issue. If I did side exit, I'd use oval stainless tube, angle cut to match the body, but sticking out just a little bit. Probably just forward of the rear jacking point.

I wish the PO of my 89 745T didn't put the side exit right under the jacking point. It has a cheap angle cut tip [or used to, rather, it fell off] and it looked good, definitely need the angle.

Yes I totally forgot about noise being an issue. Right now my exhaust isn't complete either, so it goes TURBO->DOWNPIPE->CAT, and the cat is sitting basically underneath the passenger seat. It's REALLY loud. I believe wednesday I'm getting a cat-back pipe(no muffler as far as I know). It'll still be loud, but much quieter up front. If this is a daily driver I would consider the noise thing, I will say that with mine the way it is it's rather annoying after driving it for a while.

That was my derv without the backbox. I just added a piece of pipe to bring the exhuast out just behind the rear wheel. Sounded nice but wasn't too loud which is perfect in my eyes.

There's not much room for a cat and DP if you put the cat in the "normal" spot. I had 2" side exit and it was stupid loud (NA, stock mani, headpipe, cat, front muffler (straight through type) then out the side). Go all the way out, it's much easier on the brain.

My 89 has maybe a 2" or 2.25" side exit, cherry bomb, and thats it. Not too bad, i mgiht do a 3" muffler and side exit on the cheap..

there is a ton of nice bricks in them pics, noticed a lot of 240s with the 960 motors turbo'd, also most of the cars had trailer hitches too :???:
