looks like you're out of coolant..
What was involved hooking up the aftermarket ignition? i have a Jacobs setup for a 740 turbo i wanna use in the B21a+t... the 744ti is not worthy..

nah coolants fine, these old tanks get a lining fo scum that makes them hard to see through.
igntiton was done using a pertonix ignitor to replace the stock points/condensor setup, then a few wires and bingo

What is that, a B23A? I'm guessing so 'cause it's not a B21 block. I've never seen a carb quite like that one either - we got SU up until 1980 or so and Stromberg from '81-'83, in B21A form only. After that, nothing carb'd.
Could they design a WORSE intake manifold?

according to the paperwork it's a B21A, why would you say it's not a B21 block, carb is a stromburg 175CDUS, yeah the manifold sucks.

Sorry to be pedantic but you have the Zenith DVG 175 CDSU carb, not the Stromberg 175 CD-2SE.

Hey....the engine is right, but the car is mirrored? Stupid englishmen, brake reservoir on the right side of the car... ;-)

Yep. And we know it's not a B23A, cause they have the Pierburg xxx, which has a tiny yellow cap mounted, not in the center, but at the edge of-the-top-of-the-carburator.

Well again, my bad. All our carb'd engines are early B21s without the oil separator box and with the cam cover vent.
Edit - AFAIK.

actually the manifold is as efficient as any other , you need to go back to school young man .

big brick you need to spray something on your aluminum... like wd-40. then take pictures. they come out much better when stuff has a protective shinny coat on it.

i'ts an 81, but we still had mech pumps here aslong as we had carbs engines, which were fazed out late 80's early 90's, basically till CAT's were made compulsory in 92
