Ok,

I realize organized events aren't for everyone, and that no matter how many Northern California

events we have, at least one every 30 days, that it won't meet everyone's needs. Here is an idea for those of

you who object to the overly organized situation created by VCOA here in Northern California and wish to do other

stuff.

I regularly enter NASA www.nasaproracing.com events at Sears Point and Thunderhill with my 242.

NASA is actually more organized than VCOA, but you could be one of the only Volvos there, and that might meet

your needs for a track or something but not like Thunderhill with a bunch of Volvo people. NASA runs a good

show for beginners. it is a little more expensive than the VCOA events and you don't get as much track time,

but I surely undertsand the need to be different.

There are a couple of Golden Gate chapter members who

regularly run autocrosses in the north bay, too. I can help you find them if you wish.
