Boston July 4th meet anybody?

It looks like I will be in Boston over the weekend for July 4th, so I was wondering if anybody wanted to have a mini-meet (maybe Sat the 2nd or Sun the 3rd) followed by fireworks on the 4th from the flight deck of the ship I'm stationed on.
I'll find out the details of how many people I'm allowed to invite onboard, but I guarantee you'll have the best view of the fireworks.
So let me know if anybody is free to let me hang out with them that weekend, or if anybody wants to have a meet.

Well, since I'm from VA Beach, somebody will have to help out with getting things together. We can just meet up in a park for a BBQ, or somebody's house. I'll need a ride from the ship also.
I've been asking, and it looks like I can have a number of guests aboard. It's still too far off for any major details, but if it's anything like the 4th I spent in NYC in 2000, it should be a good time for all.
So either Saturday or Sunday for a car meet and Monday the 4th we can get together on the ship.
I'll have plenty of camera gear to record the event too.
Again, once i find out more I'll keep you posted.

bump for a 2 day event. since brendon told me the demolition durby is going to be on the 3rd we could do a 2 day event. demolition durby here party the night b4 and then take the hour ride to boston mid day on the 4th.

I'm game. I usually cruise up to the Larz Anderson show every year.......thats about the only time im in Boston. :-P Keep us posted on the times......is this going to be an overnighter??

Seriously, they haven't given us any more information about the 4th yet. I know I will be in town for about 1 week & I'm pretty sure I have the weekend off, if I don't, I'll take leave.
I am allowed to have guests onboard to watch the fireworks. I wouldn't recommend bringing young children onboard, but around 7 & up should be fine. I'll give you a personalized tour of the ship too.
The only thing I need is for somebody to pick me up since I'll have no wheels.
I'll keep you guys posted as I get the information. I'm just glad to see some interest.
