I just got a new job as a cook, at this place http://www.oldvienna-usa.net/menu.htm I've been talking to the owner about putting together a meet here. Its got a big parking lot, good food, excellent bier, and hot waitresses, what more could you want? So i wanna know who thinks they could make it? I was thinking the first weekend of july would be a good day. Park the cars, show em off, drink some good beer, eat some good german food, talk tech, and then go cruise the back roads, or take in any or all of the fine scenery, or fun pismo beach has to offer. so whattya think? let me know if you can make it or have any suggestions.

Pismo is nice, but the only issue I kind of see is it's quite a haul for most of Socal guys, as well as the Norcal guys. Almost right inbetween the two [3 1/2 hrs from LA, 3 hrs from San Jose]. If I were in Santa Cruz I'd be down.

I was thinking the first weekend of july would be a good day.You mean, 4th of July weekend? Haha, that'd be funny...all these TB'ers driving around dealing with the usual holiday gridlock...at a 'tourist' spot on the coast too (Pismo). Any other weekend and I might be down for that.

Good point blu, Oktoberfest would be better anyways now that i think of it. I think i need to work on a different event name to, the word "weiner" in the name could put some people off. September through october is when oktoberfest is goin off, and in my opinion is when we have our best weather on the central coast. and is about the time the summer hordes go back to wherever they came from. I know the owners of a bunch of hotels in the area to. I might be able to get a cut rate on rooms.

I would like to, but that is quite a drive for me. It depends on a lot of factors. Plus, like Justin said, that weekend would definitly not work for me. Keep us updated if you have anything definite though.
