This is the car that replaced my Blown240.
Its nice to drive a stock car for once.
I have only a few mods planned:
Tint
Sterio
18's
Paint
then I am going to tune it for gas milage.
Anyways here are some pics:

Its basically stock with the center muffler removed, and a turn down tip.

Doth mine eyes decieve me, or are there some pink engine parts? :???: Love the wagons, nice trade you did there.
cool, glad you found what you wanted. looks like a great car, plans for it(non-performance of course)?
and i really like the rims, both .5 sets :P

Purple. They were originally on my '79 ... it was the only paint I had at the time, and purple looked better than Massachusetts rust. Besides, when I bought it, it was missing a couple of the brackets, so.

I tossed out all the other 14" tires I had, so I only had one usable pair of Coronas. The Sirius are loners.

yes, some of the engine parts are pink. I think that they were painted red at some point.

The sterio is going to be stupid nice. Lots of speakers, 3 subs, 3 amps, etc. I am making fiberglass enclosurs for some 6.5" Bostons that are going in.
and I have 2 more Coronas that are going on the rear. I just havent had time to put then on.

Very nice car. I have two wagons, a 79 and an 85. I can't decide what I want to do with them.
If you are thinking of painting it yourself, contact me at: elpiloto@comcast.net I have some training videos you can have copies of.

Nice ride. What year is that? I see a late style tale gate (the full picture won't load) and no air bag. 90-91? :???:
That thing is just beging for a 7" round conversion.

'86 245GL, though I replaced hatch and the rear bench with one from a '91.
As for the 7" ... well, it had (http://www.powerpuff.net/volvo/headlight/) them ...

PS: I'll give you a call tomorrow afternoon, Mike ... things to discuss about your car. ;-)

Here's a question I've been looking to get answered for a while...at what point did 240s get rear headrests?
cheers

I am pretty sure it was 1989.
And....Today the wagon passed smog, the gas cap was bad, but that only cost me $10. And I now have 4 matching wheels. I had to buy 2 tires, but they were only $35 each.
Tomorrow I get it registered.

Thanks for the answer. A friend bought a set of black leather for his 245, but seemed a little disappointed that the rears didn't have restraints...so asked me to look out for some. DOn't suppose anyone know if they retro-fit?
cheers
James
Just what I'll be looking for next. I figure I'll get a 245 as a psuedo-suv until the vc70's come down to a reasonable price, which may be awhile. That is a nice 245 though. Wish my interior looked like that. Kane what about my PM on those panels?
