The 242 is nice, but it would look way better with a set of small square e-codes and a GT grille :-D
The 244 is awesome, but I think it could use some side skirts and a rear diffuser or something, it looks a big high!
Yeh, I know, I am picky.... :-P

I've seen the white one before, It looks brutally awesome.
The blue one looks great two, I'm wondering what upright mounting what achieve - very interested to hear the reasoning for it.

mm, i like both, but being a huge 244 fan, and being that i believe thats the car with the t56 behind it, i want more 244. also, the engine looks to be a b230, most likely with a modified oil pick-up, and a custom pan, or a b20 pan.

its a 244 , not 242 :-D

What the hell is that? It looks like a giant breather through the oil cap hole.

What is the advantage to mounting the engine upright in a 240?

looks like an air filter sitting on top of the engine temporarily to me. the oil cap is clearly visible a smidge to the left of the air filter.
and i would think that it would offer a huge advantage in turbo:strut tower clearance. allowing a bigger, longer runner manifold and the use of a ludicrous turbo.

I'm assuming the air filter is just set there (not actually a breather for anything).
The advantage to an upright motor is more clearance for the turbo

But, less clearance for the intake manifold...

That white 242 is gorgeous.

Might be an improvement if it aims the TB down instead of at the strut tower. Looks like the b204_t intake manifold.

from the looks of those pics its not a big problem, and it keeps things away from the brake cylinder too, a double bonus

I  that blue on the 244.
I like that white 242 also, but I'm biased. :-D

Yea, his is fine but what I meant (but did not say) was that there would be less room for a cutom intake which might be the next logical step with that engine. Most of the custom intake plenums I've seen have longer rams and can interfere with the booster.

It's a very rare Volvo indeed..Both carborated and fuel injected..You install the carborator directly into the intake side of the valve cover..Much like you would install NOS....

Hmmm..looks like the strut brace curves over that air cleaner. I bet it's a rare double-pumper fuely setup from a Studebaker Commander.
