Hi, I am Patrick Gallaher, writing on the behalf of Doug. I am gathering a
feel for those interested in getting their cars (preferrably volvos) at
Sacramento Volvo Service (SVS) on what I am thinking of a Saturday Morning
sometime in late June or early August. I will be in touch with SVS next
week to get a better idea on a more ideal date. I am guessing their price
will be around 50 to 70 dollars for 3 pulls. Please respond to

2. plan on spending 65 dollars for 3 pulls including a/f wideband and boost readings

3. meetup at 8:30am (as early as 8am to BS)..hours of dyno 9-6 with lunch

I am shooting for 10 committed to keep costs down. I do not want to have to collect the money up front. I just want people to commit themselves when they say they are coming. simply put, this would be my butt, not yours. if we get more than 10, we might be able to secure a saturday in late july. 10 or less, we'll have to settle for a weekday morning/afternoon.

Hey, why not make a weekend out of this? Sac Raceway friday night, get some 1/4 mile times in for the left coast, then hit the dyno saturday? (assuming we don't break at the track)

justin, this all depends who is committed. this would be the first vcoa/tbricks thingabob i ever organized.. i always read about flakes, please don't be one of them.. i'll be picking up my car at svs tomorrow, so i'll stop by the r&d to see what's up.. they told me either i can pay up front, or have them collect at the dyno.. however, it all depends on numbers that show up and get dyno'd. maybe i can get a few bodies at the davis meet. i do not want to have to treat you guys like you're in grammer school and collect your money up front so if you flake, it's okay for me since i have your money. anyone want to help organize this? i think we can make a little potluck out of it.. i have 2 ice chests i can fill with ice.. you guys can bring the rest i suppose.. and no, it's not a wet get gathering.. no alky (makes me shed a tear). anyone have any blackout dates that they can't do?

My 3" turbo-back exhaust should be done right around then. The exhaust, along with the B cam, B230 intake, T11 trick, MBC set to 15psi (and a couple other little things I still need to do ;-) ) really makes me want to get it dyno'ed anyway, see how much power I'm actually making. See if I've truly improved over the stock 130 non-IC'd horsepower to IC'd & modded after 300k miles. Butt-O-Meter says yes, but numbers don't lie. Should be fun!

wideband up your car's butt.. i mean exhaust.. they'll throw in wideband up the tailpipe (nowhere else) and also BOOST READINGS, only if you have a nipple on the manifold for them to plug the line into.. there will be no tuning on the dyno.. do your tuning on the street or parking lot.

proposed dates: July 22, 2005 or August 5, 2005..... anyone have a preference? yes, they are fridays.. if you really want saturday, you will be dealing with some grumpy folks.. we would get the dyno all to ourselves from 9am to 6pm.. meetup time would be 8:30 to take care of paperwork. i and possibly a few others will be bullsihtting around 8am. SVS is located at 2009 Fulton Avenue Sacramento, CA 95825. This is no ghetto community. we can plan in a lunch because SVS employees would plan their lunch. max signup will be set at 10 cars for 1 day. there will be a wait list of up to 3 cars in case somebody flakes or if we have extra time. IF there is enough interest, I can arrange a half day to have up to 5 cars dyno'd for 350 bucks total in cost (70 bucks per car).

we have 7 signed up and supposedly committed so far. 3 more committed and 3 more on a wait list. keep in mind if we fit people in on the wait list, 65 bucks per car will be reduced....so as long as we keep things moving during the day, it'll be cheaper.... if we squeeze 12 cars in, it'll be 54 bucks per car (8 hours @ 81.25/hr divided by # of cars).

well, nobody called first to be on the dyno. if you want to be on the dyno at 9am, you can...so you don't have to take the whole day off. you can be out by about 10am. but it would be nice to keep everyone around. should i count you in?
