Ok, I thought I'd post up all the final info on the BBQ on Saturday, June 4th. One night before the Annual VCOA West Coast Show/Swapmeet in Davis, CA.

Who: You tell me! Post if your going to come, so I could get a head count going. So far, im aware of about a dozen people.
What I need: Food, Drinks, Beer... I'll take care of most of the grilling items.
Rules: Im in a residential neighborhood w/ children next door, away from campus, so I need everyone to be on their best behavior! No driving fast, revving engines, burning out... etc!!!

I'm not even going to justify this with a response, as you did mainly to get a rise out of people.

Sounds good, I wasn't planning on unhooking the brakelines and whatnot. It'd be more of a ghetto job that would jut look nice for a week or so. Just some primer and engine enamel red paint, cover up the lines, and stuff around there, it dries in about 15 minutes. I plan on doing a good job sometime later, this is jsut cosmetic for the show mainly.

As for how long this thing is going, it'll probalby be 2 part, bbq at the 4pm time, 8-ish will be more of a BS Boozin time.

As for the girls, my roommates is an Alpha Chi Omega here at UCD... enough said. Altho, I feel they have gone downhill recently. I'll still try and see if she could bring some girls for you horny volvo guy's. I just cant promis you they'll be into Volvo's or cars for that matter.

Just a reminder, for the people out of town, I recommend you book a hotel soon. Altho, there will be some cheap places fairly close to my house that should be vacant. Also recommend you plan a DD if your drinking or someone could step up and be one, cuz I know I wont be driving that night.

Also, DO NOT DRIVE FAST/WRECKLESS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!!! This is very important, as I rent this house, and my neighbors could complain to the landlord if they feel like someone was being wreckless at my house. I also have kids that like to play on the street of the court, so be careful of them!!!

for those of you coming from portland or thereabouts -- how long does it actually take you to make the drive from portland to davis/sac area? what is a conservative estimate? if we left in the afternoon could we make it to portland before bedtime?

also, i am scared of anywhere in oregon except eugene and portland.

-Install fuel rail, install new seals+caps on injectors
-Wire up [more like crimp new connectors onto existing wire] fuel pump relay
-Toss in kill switch for power to MS
-Hook up clutch cable, check clutch operation [I might have to yank the tranny back out, fork feels like it came off the TO bearing, grrr]
-Bolt up driveshaft
-Install external oil cooler setup off of 240 Turbo
-Install return/feed lines to turbo
-Install the front timing cover w/new gasket
-Install dizzy
-Throw on rear timing belt cover, install timing belt+tensioner
-Wire up ignition crap
-Install battery+cables [from trunk], alternator, starter
-Install intake pipe
-Install NPR+IC Piping
-Install Exhaust + WBo2
-Install radiator, hoses, water cooling lines for turbo, and heater hoses. E-Fan too.
-Put front end [core support, headlights, etc] back onto car.
-Top off all fluids, check for leaks. Check all hoses
-Make sure it starts
-Make sure it runs alright
-Tune it

I'm getting started on this stuff probably around 10-11am tommarrow. I'll keep working till it's finished, even if I have to go all night. If the car is not running by 6am Saturday, I'm taking the V70R. If I get done before 6am, I'm tossing in the GT interior and doing some other stuff.
