I need to get some new front tires. I am considering the yokohama parada spec II's. Anybody have any expierence with them. They seem pretty good from the published info on them and with a 300 treadware rating should last pretty good also. Plus they are non-directional so you can rotate from side to side, and not just front to back. Let me know, I may get them on friday.
Thanks.MIKE

I have never experienced with the parada spec 2's, but I too also have heard great things about them from friends and acquaintances. I think you should definitely give them a try.

I actually just got toyo proxes fz4 on my car. I must say i am pretty happy. They seem to be a good overall tire. They were like 130/tire

Well I got them installed today. I also had my alignment checked and so far so good. I have not really pushed them hard yet, but they feel like there is great potential in them. I did notice that they are very quiet and thats nice, the Yoko A520's I had on before even bald sounded like truck tires. Once I get them heat-cycled a few times and scrubed in I'll let you all know how they do when pushed.

What type of driving do you do the most? I run Parada's on my daily 18'' set-up and I'm very happy with it. I do have two other set-ups for different driving situations. For 1/4 mile I run BFGoodrich g-Force Drag Radial on a 16'' front, and road course I run Bridgestone Potenza S-03 on 17'' all 4.

Pomian Tech, I have not gotten into the cone track type racing yet so most of my driving is just freeway-city street driving. I am pretty aggressive on my tires at times though. I am into quarter mile racing and have done like you, except I bought some aftermarket 17" wheels and put some BFG g-force drag radials on them.(205-40-17). I drove on my new paradas all weekend and have to say I am very happy with them. They show a high level of grip and act very predictable at the edge when pushed.
What kind of times are you running at the track. My best is a 14.2@96mph. That was in about 90 degree heat. My car feels much quicker at night when the temps are cooler though. I'm sure I have a 14.0 car at the track if I could just get some cool air there sometime.

So, how'd those new tires work out? Been a few years.
