On the 24th, they will be hosting a swap meet for used parts at the same location from 10:00 am to 3:00pm

Take Exit 399 (Hwy/RR 1) off of Hwy 401, East of Toronto
(make sure you're in the collector lanes), and head north until you see the signs. If you hit Hwy 4, you're too far.

how mamy cars are expected to show up?

Don't have it.

Give them a shout. Last year was a lot of fun and there was about 40-60 cars.

The Loks also race older Volvos, so there are some interesting modified 240's and 122's there as well.

I dunno. Sweet and rare beasty you have there....
SE body panels are highly sought after around these parts (me included... I have a 945 turbo wagon too).
Just arriving in a cool Volvo makes everyone's day at these events.

Brad is from Komoka and helped design those Cherry Turbos brace designs that you find in IPD catalogs.

I believe it did last year, but I'd rather not make that assumption. I usually bring a lunch or have money for burgers.

Dan Demmer here with the platinum low 240 wagon. I'm gettin sick of this! didn't win the modification class or EVEN PLACE! next year i'm gonna write dowm my mods on lined paper, well lined papers! there no way that wagon with the 5.0l had more mods or time than mine!,

Welcome to my world! Never won anything for my car either.
Frankly don't expect to either. It's a very tough game to keep up with. You're only cool until the next car arrives.

One of the guys from Ottawa used to win stuff with all the mods he did to his car, but no more.

The factor on the V8 wagon was that he'd never been to the Volvo shows before. Pound for pound, you guys had a dead heat in the modified 240 wagon class. Him on the mechanicals, you on everything else. Then there's the heavily modified 240 GT you just can argue with. :)

I just enjoy the fact that I have one cool lookin' 240 and that I keep getting many comments from people stating how much they like it.

Now if that cool factor could bring me good $$$ if I chose to sell it, that'd be cool too. ;)

BTW, did you get my message from your buddy? I ran into him at IBM the other day (small world). He was working on machines for my company. Sent him my email address so I can get a hold of those white gauge files you mentioned.

ur volvo is mint! its in better condition than mine, i just feel that all the time put into it gets overlooked! the wheels alone probably took as much time to polish as it would to throw a v8 in.
