Problems with new CD changer?

The first time I used the CD changer on my new V70 it behaved normally.

The second time it took a disk and displayed an error message. When I ejected it, it was covered with a sticky clear goo and the disk was cracked.

I then put a cheap disk in it to test it for a third time, and it came back with the goo but not cracked.

What on earth is happening? Are the factory CD changers shipped with some kind of grease in them? Did my second disk misfeed somehow and get jammed/wedged/greased? Anyone have this kind of problem before? (This is the standard single disk factory changer.)

Whoa, that does sound like trouble.

The first disk you put in was a normal CD? I wouldn't even bother asking us, I'd just take it right back to the dealer.

...not that we're not helpful, I'm just saying I wouldn't even bother asking whats wrong with it in your case, just go bit** about it and have it fixed, thats what I do w/ my S60!

PS, What dealer did you buy your's from? My parents are from the bay-area and all my relatives live down there.

Maybe it's something they forgot to do on a pre sale check. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it
