ok so i hear this rumor from a friend that a mid 80's pontiac trans am spoiler(not the one that goes all the way around) will fit on a 740 and fit prefect(no over hang on the ends)

if you could get one to match your paint it would look almost like the stock ones ... which are damn near impossible to find

are two pics to get an idea ... i think the so called friend has one off an 85' laying around ... next time i'm @ his place i'm gonna see if i can test fit it on my 740 to see how ricey it is. he said it fits on his 240 w/ about 1/2 inch over hang so we'll see

Yeah, and that came from ME, which came from Richard Burnes in Ottawa, Canada. ;)

Actually, I'm not sure if that spoiler would match up on the 740. Very different trunk line and width compared to the 240.

Also, anything pre-1981 on the 240 isn't a perfect match either, because the trunklid is slightly different inside and the frame underneath needs a wee bit of drilling.

Another thing you can do if you feel so inclined is turn it over and use it as a fron spoiler. for cosmetics only.

Any update, how does it look on a 7 series? I may have to go for one as well if it looks good.
