After a short tuning/logging run in which the car did well I stopped at the store and when I came back out to leave the car wouldn't start. :???: MT was running and I didn't see anything exciting on it. I checked spark, injectors pulsing, fuel pump and it all looked good. Still wouldn't start. Then MT crashed with some warning and I tried the car again and it magically starts and runs fine. I restarted MT and everything was fine? Is it possible that MT was somehow messing things up and keeping the car from starting? I'm running the extra 24s9 and MT2.25 B514

that would be strange, but not out of the realm of possibility if it locked up trying to read from the controller.

Yesterday I had my new MS box hooked up to MT and it wasn't working, I closed MT and reopened it, and everything was fine again. I know it's not much of an answer but it worked.

The first thing to do when computers start screwing up is to restart them. It solves 90% of the problems I deal with at work every day.

Im having some issues with the same megatune version also...but mainly in the acceleration wizard window....last time i tried to open it it would magically switch itself to TPSdot and change the settings....then the car ran like crap, had to restart the computer, and it still did it.....not sure what thats about yet

I'll toss another variable out there.. My MS laptop was complaining about C: errors last week so I ran scandisk-no errors and diskeeper on it. Possibly win98 is on the fritz(nothing new :-P ) but I don't know if that would mess with communication.

I run FC3 (actually installing FC4 on my laptop as we speak) and FC4/Windows dual boot on my desktop. It's just that 99.9% of the world uses Windows, and I'm a computer tech right now, so that's what I deal in. I want to be a surgeon, and if I didn't need money for college, I would be doing something more useful than fixing non-existant computer problems.

Ovlov I've had the same thing happen to me numerous times. A month ago it would happen every other hot start, so upon Kenny suggestion I changed the hot start cranking pulsewidths and it's completely cured. It used to just crank crank crank crank crank with no sputtering at all. I can't remember if I made the cranking PW's higher or lower, but it sure worked. John
