I use the old E6....very similar in function to the E6X, but far less options...did you want information on the E6X in specific, or the E6 in general?

im looking at the E6X but am doing the research on other systems also like the electromotvie tec3 system also. My sponsers where going to custom build a full system for my 90 740ti, but i would rather get a pre-built system.

When choosing EMS, choose a system you and your MS/dyno tech is comfortable with. Most manufacturers offer their software for download on their pages, so you can check it out. I'd suggest downloading it and find which system you feel most comfortable with.

When it comes to Haltech, I find it's method of mapping and graphs very easy to manipulate and compare. With the 3d graph option in the E6X software, it's even easier to do. The E6x also has lots of configurable in/out ports, so I can't figure it will be a limitiation in any way.

Autronics auto-map feature looks interresting btw; you might want to check that out also.

thanks for the info. i have used the haltech system before (1992 rx7), and am pretty comfortable with the software. Most of the dyno shops around here have used haltech and other brands (ie aem, greddy, megasquirt, ect...), so there is no problem there. I am going to pass the idea to my sponsers so they can purchase the system for me (along with my 60-1 turbo, custom intercooler).

These things tend to only do the 95% of the job that your dyno-tuner does in the first 5% of his/her tuning time ... it's a neat feature, but 'helpful' rather than 'exciting'.
