ok , i know its been asked and said before , but kenny said he was using the bosch sensors , which is what i want to use , so hit with em if you have em .

if so the stock IAT sensor can't be used as the resitance to temp ratio is the opposite to the rest of the world ans is not MS compatible.
For convenience sake I would use the GM sensor, but you've then got to over come the thread differences, in a friend's 3.9 rover we used the IAT from a volkswagon passat, it was about £20 and I think it would maybe even fit in the stock ET location.

i didnt know the IAT , was the wrongway round , i was under the impression the NTC would work ?
And anyway , i may go with the GM ones since i cant see me spending loads of hours going over stuff like that . Is the passat one a turbo one and quick acting ?

yeah it's a little plastic body with an o ring to seal, and there is a little thermistor wire that hang in the air flow, it's not limited to the passat just about any late model VW has one particularly the 1.8 turbo, from memory it sit's on the throttle body.
GM ones would be easiest, except the thread issue.

let me know exactly which car you end getting one from, I have a autodata cd that has thousands of cars on it, that's where I got the values for the VW IAT we used in the 3.9 rover.
Let me know and I'll dig them up.
