Well I thought I'd post some pictures of what my car is about. Have fun....I did.
This is one of the earliest pics of my car. I believe it's still N/A at this point. Besides the 6 foot fender gap I think it's lookin' pretty good. At this point I had added the side markers, Hydras, and put an early model 740 egg crate grille inside the stock 240 grille frame. And yes, all my trim is black from the factory. The random wheel is what I used to mob around on...back in the NA days. I got those from the yard in San Diego. They're mean looking, 15x7 and for sale :-)
http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/2928/10005366eo.th.jpg (http://img384.imageshack.us/my.php?image=10005366eo.jpg),http://img452.imageshack.us/img452/691/wheel2fl.th.jpg (http://img452.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wheel2fl.jpg)
Decided I needed to get a turbo. I collected parts for a few months, most coming from Ecology and Pick Your Part, the two mainstream yards in California. The turbo is a Garret T3 .52/48 off a 740.
http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/9452/10005636th.th.jpg (http://img486.imageshack.us/my.php?image=10005636th.jpg)
Here are the oil drain and feed. I didn't skimp on these since it's pretty much the life line of your turbo. I bought high quality AN fittings and stainless steel line for the oil feed. I used rubber hose and a barbed AN fitting for a drain. It's rated at a very high psi has a tough material like outer jacket. Held up just dandy. The tube welded to the oil pan is actually a short section of a futon frame that my buddy had laying around. Worked out great. I had a male bung welded on the end of the futon frame and the end of the oil drain, which had an AN barb fitting, screwed onto that. I NEVER had any problems with my oil drain....well maybe one :-)
http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/8559/10005483ws.th.jpg (http://img395.imageshack.us/my.php?image=10005483ws.jpg),http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/2189/drainfittings5bl.th.jpg (http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drainfittings5bl.jpg),http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/7483/p53101377zw.th.jpg (http://img394.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p53101377zw.jpg)
Here is the only problem I had with my oil pan. I had the end of the futon frame welded onto my oil pan. After I installed it and filled it with oil I noticed that oil was slowly seeping through pa part of the weld. There was no way in hell I was going to remove the oil pan to have it rewelded so I bit the bullet and smearts a bunch of JB Weld over the entire weld. It held up just fine. So fine that it's now occupying Deer_vs_Coyote's car :-) Unfortunately it was the only "ghetto" part of my F+T endeavor. Whatever, I was boosting shortly thereafter.

Here's a good way to do an intake with some stock parts. I used a stock 740 turbo inlet pipe, stock 240 N/A airbox plastic elbow, and cone filter to position the fiter. It worked great if you didn't mind giving up the windshield washer resevoir. You can see the resister pack mounted on the inner fender above the air filter.
http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/3153/p53101454yk.th.jpg (http://img488.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p53101454yk.jpg)
I decided that I didn't want to use the stock oil cooler. I picked up a second generation Mazda RX-7 oil cooler at one of the "half-day-off" sales at one of the local yards. $15 bucks later I had an aluminum oil cooler. None of tube and fin crap either. This thing has legit endtanks and a built in thermostat at the inlet. Good sh1t indeed. I mounted it so that the air entering the holes in the airdams would pass right through it. I used some right angle aluminum from Home Depot, some round aluminum tubing, some stainless steel hardware and the stock RX-7 mounts and bolted it to the backside of the lower radiator support. I used a pipe cutter to get nice clean cuts in the tubing for the mounting spacers. Kinda complicated, but works like a charm. I'll get it welded eventually. For a temporary plumbing install I used the stock 740 oil cooler lines (the hard section off the oil filter oil cooler adapter) and cut the threaded ends off. I then used a section of the RX-7 rubber lines (equipped with a banjo fitting to hook up to the oil cooler), and a piece of brass pipe inserted and clamped into the end. I then took a section of heater hose, clamped that around the brass pipe and clamped the other end around the stock 740 oil cooler lines. I did it this way to get the car going with the intention of going to stainless steel braided lines and a remote mount. Lets just say I still have the ghetto set up and it's performed perfectly with no drips.

I went ahead an installed an oil separater. I got this idea from the polically involved Mach375. This guy is full on great knowledge whether it be pertaining to Volvos or politics. It's actually an aircompressor oil/water separater. The hose on the left side of the blue unit is going into the flame trap and the other hose on the right side snakes across the engine compartment, goes below the lower radiator support, and eventualy makes it's way up and into the intake hose at the stock 740 location. Nice. I've only had to drain it a few times at the beginning but it's nice knowing that my intake and intercooler pipes are staying cleaner than usual.

I used a 740 turbo air mass meter wiring harness and spliced it into the stock 240 firewall harness. The stock N/A harness is still there in case the California Smog Nazis decide to flag me. I also have the stock N/A injector harness kickin' it underneath the intake manifold.

Here are a few pictures of the finished product. I also swapped to a 2.4 ecu and icu. They plugged right in and "pinned" out just fine. I used a 740 downpipe that was shortened length and height wise. This was welded onto the end of my stock 240 downpipe (the flanged end and a few inches behind it) so the 740 downpipe could bolt to my stock 240 exhaust and cat. Basicaly i was runing a 740 downpipe and stock 2 inch exhaust with both stock (oem from the factory) exhaust. Very restrictive but whatever....it was faster than before. I was running about 7 psi on a b230f.

Like a dumb ass...I crashed my car. I was driving to me girlfriends house in Pacifica (a little bit south of San Francisco) and left San Diego at about 6am. It was moist, and then it started to rain. My tires weren't inthe best shape (ok, they were kinda bald) and the "Grape Vine" lassoed my car and in the act of trying to correct the inevitable spin out at 55mph I over corrected (or maybe I did just the right amount and the wet road said NO!) and subsequenly hit the center divider. I honestly thought my car and I were done for it. I was going down hill at about 65mph and lost it in a left hand sweeper. My front end took the beating but only moderate cosmetic damage was incurred. My custom grille shot out and was run over before my eyes and the headlight lenses flew off and were obliterater. To my surprise the sheet metal faired well. My IPD panhard rod buckled. I had slide over a curb on the side of the high way as I came to a hault. My sh!t was rubbing like a mofo. I had to crawl under my car in the pouring rain, river of water flowing down my back, and attempt to pulla bent to fu@k panhard rod off. It was bent so bad that the tire was sliced up by the fender lip when I tried to drive away. I ended up using my cell phone charger to lash on the panhard rod. It was bent so band and rubbing against the gastank that I couldn't slip it of the mounting stud. I didn't have anything to use as leverage to bent it....I'm not the Incredible Hulk yo! The last two pics are of me and my girl (at the time, not any more) and the chef at Beni Hanas...or howeva' you spell it.

Here's some pictures of my car in it's turbo state. At one point I was using a Dodge turbo 2.2 liter airbox. It's what I used to pass smog...in California :-) It might me a bit small but the inlet works perfectly with a piece of flex hose to mount up to the cold air inlet in the 240.

Mimicing "thepoi's" method, I had my buddy built me the unltimate downpipe. Utilizing the ford T3 wastegate housing, I went about to create a 3.5 inch outlet. I had my buddy cut off most of the wastegate housing and weld on two pieces of overly thick tubing. My friend used two mallets, one as a "die" to use to form the pipe and the other for the brute force. It turned out great! I had him also relocate the wastegate pivot mount (the little knob on the wastegate arm) to be a smidge closer to the center pivot point. This would ultimately open up the wastegate a a little further than stock. In the pic it's bolted up to a .48 housing, but in reality it's going on a .60/.63 T3 and a heavily ported 90+manifold. For about 3 months I was driving around San Diego with exactly what you see in the first few pics...just the shorty 3/5-3/0 inch downpipe...hahahahah!!! I had the wastegate as loose as possible and no boost controller or bleeder valve and I could boost to over 18psi. I couldn't floor it until I got an muffler on it!

A few months ago I was drive home from Orange County to San Diego on a sunny Friday evening when BANG...PUFF OF BLACK SMOKE...NO POWER...I was in the fast lane cruising at about 65mph, not boosting since I had suspision of yet another blown headgasket. I had to pull over to the LEFT of the fast lane right up against the center divider. I had to wait for about an hour with cars flying by me causing my car to sway back and forth, It sucked ballz. I couldn't even get out to see what had caused it.
The tow truck eventually got there and towed me off the highway. Once I got towed home by AAA and took the engine out the damage became more apparent.

The engine blew the same month as I was moving. At first i was going to part her out and dump the money into my 242, but logic got the best of me and I ended up getting a 1988 b230ft with only 90,000 miles. It was a scramble to get her in the car before I had to move. Thanks fo guidom12345 she started up on the first try.

With my "new" engine running great in my 240 I needed an exhaust. I had all the materials, just needed someone with better welding skills than me. I enlisted frostburner to weld up my 3" side exit. It's still missing the tail pipe but I love the way it sounds. I have a short Magnaflow muffler and a 90* turn towards the rear passenger side door. With this set up my boost dropped to 16psi. I think I can handle that.

I got these wheels about 6 months. I'm borrowing deer_vs_coyote's spacers for the time being. I'll be cutting my inner rear lips and getting 40mm spacers for the rear. I've also replaced the damaged panels from the accident. Paint is next.
