I bought kennys megasquirt box about 10 months ago, and im finally getting around to installing it on my kjet car. I got the fuel pump relay all figured out. I have the injectors wired up like he suggested.

When I turn the key the fuel pumps run for about two seconds

The led lights blink when i turn the key

How do I hook up the tach? Im using the stock turbo ignition till i get the fuel running, then i was going to hook up all the other goodies. I read his ms guide, and i cant seem to figure out the tach signal. The harness he gave me didnt come with anything on pin 25 and im confused as hell

light blinks when you spin it over...http://www.megasquirt.info/ im not sure but i would think you can use your reg. tach signel (coil?) read up it might help

It doesnt blink when i turn it over, only when i turn the key...

I took mine from the negative side of the coil, but it's used to have lot's of spikes on idle(was fine when driving but used to spike every couple of second's on idle), but when I moved to MSnS I took it from the hall sensor in the block mounted dizzy I fitted and it's been rock solid ever since.

ya, like he said. off the negative terminal on the coil or piggyback off the hall sensor. i'd do the latter so its easier to go to msns-e when you get around to it :-P

No Hall Sensor on K-jet ;-) So he is gonna have to take it off the coil for now...

i just got mine working with the turbo ignition, just hooked up to the neg side of the coil with a spade lug... No shielded wire or anything... actually the wire runs over the top of the engine across the injectors and everything and i only get spikes on the very first crank when starting.... didnt have the problems most people had...

pin25...isn't that the short red wire? run it to the center pin on the 3wire lh2.2 distributor. the other 2 pins are labeld + and - on the distributor side of the plug, take a look over at kenny's page http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?p=248685#post248685 take notes too! :-D i went with msd 6a so i'm lost on the kjet ignition system. good luck

This man isn't going to have this distributor if he is running k-jet ignition. I understand you wanting to contribute, but it is entirely possible that you may confuse more than help by adding stuff like this...

I said it once before and I'll say it again...

Run a shielded line from the negative side. Ground the shield at the MS side and let the other end float. Put a spade lug on it and that's it. Works fine, no spikes.

Do people even read the megamanual anymore? Or do they think they can figure it out just by reading Kenny's old ass article? Seriously, the Megamanual is the bible, I used to keep it printed out in a 3 ring binder in my trunk.

Remember to ground the beotch, Kenny's come pre-jumpered for MS&S.

And I've been running unshielded for.. what.. almost a year now? No spikes to date.
