megasquirt order clarification

tried to search but couldnt find what i was looking for. i know this info must have been discused.

for megasquirt (im going for megasquirt-II and V3 board) to work i need:

1. MS2PKIT - MegaSquirt-II ECU Partial Kit with V3 Board

contains: 1. V3 Printed Circuit Board
2. programmed HCS12C daughterboard ECU
3. MPX4250 MAP sensor

2. MegaSquirt V3 set of parts from Digi-Key
3. RELAYPCB - PCB only for Relay and Power Board
4. WIRING HARNESS - ??? WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM
5. MSD Blaster - distributer and coil and such ?? is this necessary?

really sorry if this is a repeat post. any help at all is greatly appreciate.

Jeeze I haven't even taken the time to look into the MS-II or the V3 boards yet, I gotta get on that! So I don't know exactly what you need there. You don't "need" the relay board, but I guess it might make wiring a bit easier, not sure cause I've never used 'em. For the wiring harness you've gotta roll your own. Linuxman51 makes some harnesses but you've still got to cut to fit and attach all the connectors. The MegaManual has some really good wiring diagrams that helped me make my own from scratch without a problem. Stock volvo coil will work fine. You need a block mounted distributor from an LH2.2 car (yours might be 2.4, not sure). You also need an ignition module from either your 740 or a saab. Search for "124" and/or "139" to read up on that.

Although if you want the megasquirt to just control the fuel, skip the ignition stuff and move on.

Get a wideband.
