Victory! Success! I have outwitted both the computer and camera, and am proud to present to you "project: GT Revival!" sure she's a lil rough and needs a little work (ok make that a lot of work) but at least now she runs, from the more than generous input, and scavenging from fellow t'brickers.

Well you saw the pics of the heart going into the beast, and i snapped a few today. But first a little history of how I came into possession of this "stunning" automobile.
My 91 740 had a cracked block, and I was out and about looking for a replacement, found a couple of nice ones but nothing that made me want to slap down my grand. Went to this place "Jeff's fine auto's" who happens to specialize in volvo's, as I was about to take a 1990 bertone coupe on a test drive, I saw pinstripes on a car behind a fence. I was thinking "is that a GT?" nah couldnt be, so i mosey'd on behind the fence and lo and behold it was! By that point i was like shaking and was ready to play some hardball with jeff, as coolly as i could i asked "how much for the gt?" he was like "oh, that piece of shat? you can have it." and the rest as they say, is history.
But heres what you really came for, pictures!

thanks for the heads up dude. But the tires, like many things on this car are gonna change. I started cutting access holes through the body to the engine compartment and a few other places, so i can put in the mother of all roll cages.
heres what i had in mind for this car:
1) roll cage
2) some R sport shocks or homemade coilovers
3) couple of fixed back sport seats
4) and rattling a few cages with the fastest k-jet car on the board :-D
best of all i'm still into this car less than a grand, I'll list my expenditures thus far: (your results may vary)
1) GT shell: Free (one of my favorite four letter words!)
2) engine/tranny/intercooler/wiper motor: $500
3) door handles/intercooler hard piping: $20 from junkyard
4) cyl. head freshen up, work done by yours truly: $150 for parts
5) elring gasket set: $170 i think
6) seats from a bimmer 633ci: free! well it was a work exchange.
7) starting up after first turn of key: priceless

Lookin' good dude! The front spoiler looks much better on your car than on my garage floor. Thanks again for lunch
