How long does your afterstart enrichment stay on?

Notice any correlation?

im not too sure about the after start enrichments

Sounds like it could have something to do with your afterstart enrichment settings or warm up settings. If the car is going too lean or rich at some point it could cause the motor to die.

exactly it catches then revs up to about 1800 and then just shuts off and when i try to give it gas it just shuts off too.

Do you have a massive vacuum leak? :-D

Take some datalogs of starting attempts, and post 'em up!

this may be a stupid question but how do you use the data logging cuz before i just put in "the spark or fuel just shuts off around 1800-2000 rpm" is this is what its for...

also ive been reading up on afr setting and i don't have a spredsheet in MT. all i have is 12x12 Spark table 1, 12x12 spark table 2, and a 12x12 VE table 1..thats all the 12x12's i have should i have more

Make sure your laptop's receiving data from MS.

File menu -> Datalogging -> Record.

Choose a spot to save it. Now you're recording, try firing it up a few times to record exactly what's happening. Then post (or email) it up, and we'll help you out.

make sure your mapsensor is hooked up, check the rev limits, and fix the vaccum leak.

My knowledge of MS is virtually zero, but if I were to come across this problem while attending a breakdown the first thing I would do is attach a spark tester and see if the engine still has a spark as it dies. That will point you in the direction of ignition or fuel before you even plug the laptop in.

Just my 2 penneth worth.
