240 intake

I was just wondering about putting in an intake on my 1989 240 GL. I was wondering what would be the best solution for intake. would it be best to just run a pipe from the maf to the cone intake and take out the air box or what. I heard just putting putting in a k&N filter was good with removing the intake snorkel. Im not sure all I have done right now is removed the intake snorkel but I really want to do is make an intake with piping and such. can anyone give me some help on this or people that have already made some intakes give me some input on how to make or send some pics or both, where to get the supplies ect.....help would be grealty appreciated.

get a 4" extension from the MAF to a cone filter. then you can pull out all that plastic junk.
mind you it most likely wont make a lick of difference, but it will look cool :wink:
