Faq is done! Faq is done! Hoooray for me
oh yea, and isaac ;) :-D
Actually it seems to be extremely detailed now, thanks to isaac for elaborating on my general musings :) I'm re-reading it checking for last minute additions, and I'll try and get a parts list going this weekend (yea yea, i've been meaning to do that for a cool 6-7 months now, eventually it'll get done). Hashing it out with the man as to where to stick it right now.. stay tuned for the link :-)

done, emailed to dana, wait fer the powers that be. There will be a version 2.0, or maybe an extention of this one, and hopefully dana'll have it set up where i can edit the thing and add part numbers n such. (of course, if you can't go and find the few small pieces you have to buy by yourself, popular logic would dictate that you shouldn't be doing it in the first place ;) )

Where is it these days, I am itching to read this thing! I know I shouldn't anger the board gods, but I have been itching on this one for a while, and with a new crop of questions about this, I think that the huge amount of information about this would be awesome.

One more thread which I forgot to post up:
"From NA to Turbo for $300 or less"
http://forums.turbobricks.com/viewtopic.php?t=3196
That is THE best one of the threads listed so far. There's a lot of theory discussion, a lot of specific parts listing (thanks to Kenny H), and a lot of firsthand experience thrown in. That thread was the one which led up to the weekend where I did the conversion, after which I started the thread "The turbo swap begins"

Hi, I'm a newbie here so this information is important to me as I wanted to read about real experiences of people who did a +T on their B230F motor (in addition to reading the actual article). As such I took the liberty of searching for the links mentioned in this thread.
Managed to find these:

Okay, lots of good stuff here. I blew my turbo motor and bought a non-turbo to replace it. It wasn't until the motor was in that I noticed the missing holes. I know that I need to go in through the oil sending unit/dummy light to plumb the turbo, but I cant find anything metric fittings. I see other people here that found the fitting for the oil feed.
My question is: Where can I get a metric fitting to feed both the oil pressure sender and the oil feed for the turbo?
