View Full Version : Regima fuel injection system
Ok here is an important question that will be make or break my turbo conversion do I need to make any changes on this fuel injection system (listed in topic) in order to convert my stock 940 to a 940 turbo, also did anyone happen to add a air mass sensor for it I have a air tempature sensor on the intake but not an air mass sensor anywhere or I wont need it?

I don't think anyone has done this successfully, IIRC this system just doesn't cope very well with a turbo. The Regina system uses a MAP sensor, and is incompatible with a MAF (air mass sensor) sensor.

do it and document what happens. for extra fuel use a RRFPR, vortec or cartech

Ya, in theory if it just tops out at atmo, but keeps changing fuel based on rpm and intank temp, then just enrichening it with an rrfpr could work ok since the amount of enrichment you need vs. boost will be reasonably linear (since it should keep correcting for AIT's and rpm).
Only problem is the turbo backpressure might change the ve curve, but again you can probably correct it to some extene with the RRFPR/FMU.
I think it'd work. Only problem is I dunno what the fuel pump will say since it only has an intank. Makes a wallbro that much simpler I guess- but far more necessary as well!

Any money you 'save' with not doing a real fuel system now will not pencil out when it blows up..........
Get yourself a real programmable system and know that you are doing it right.
Somehow we never have enough money to do it right to start with, but we always manage to find the money to make the same mistake over again and blow it up AGAIN.
Have fun with it.
