Is there anywhere other than the streets to run a car in winter up here in Portland or should I just write off getting a time in this year? With the rain all I get to do is spin tires lately but I imagine there must be the occasional dry day or am I just having california weather dreams? On the plus side my car is loving the cold weather up here. Engine just feels way more powerful on the ole butt o meter.
Thanks
Renny

Here's what we do for the winter here in Portland:
- Motor tear-downs
- Bodywork and paint
- Suspension redesign and fab
- Build occasional race cars
- Drink lots of coffee
- Sleep in
- Look at pictures of the sun (to remind ourselves what it looks like)
- Schedule vacations to tropical destinations
Hmmm... sorry, I don't see drag racing anywhere in that list. And if you happen to find an indoor 1/4 mile track, please let us know!
One more thing... are you here visiting or here for good? Reason I ask is there's no reason why you can't hang out with the OVT folks while you're up here. We may not be drag racing our cars, but we're still doing fun stuff.

Loved that one about looking at pictures of the sun!! My wife is looking for full spectrum lights for the same reason.
As to the indoor thing I was hoping that there was some track way out in the desert some where that I didn't know about that you folks go to but it probably does noah like rain out there too.
I'm up here for at least 390000.00 worth of house so yep up here for good. I was actually going to come by the V-shop as I need some help with the front suspension car has a mind of it's own especially on I5 (man do the wagon ruts up here suck) and the biggest thing I lack right now is time.
I hear there is some sort of blood oath, pinky swear thing I have to do to get officially welcomed into OVT. But yes would love to hang out some time, hopefully soon, once I get out of the cardboard maze.
Thanks
Renny
Will be putting (drag race in March test and Tune) on my calender.

Ohh you're going to be local, and judging by your sig, I really wanna see your 90.
Aaanyway, I'm done with the power-goodies for now, now it's time to get the car megasquirted and running well and get bodywork done. I may even be able to get the car repainted before the end of the year. That'd be really cool...

There is, actually. You simply loan your 740 to me and Patrick Dickman for an afternoon of test driving, drifting, running away from cops, smoking ricers, etc... and you're in!
Just kidding! Go to www.ovtuners.org and introduce yourself, and give your name, phone number, e-mail address, and vehicle description and you're good to go. Then attend a few of our events and get to know the peeps.

We tend to do quite a bit of dyno tuning. Tomorrow, Sean from Rallitek was supposed to tune the PerfectPower ign/fuel management system I just installed on my 745Ti, but they rescheduled on me. Next tentative date is 11/27 (Yep, it's a Sunday!). Will post updates on this on the OVT site when I finally hear back from them.

This week is looking real good for drags. Sunny all week with temps in the low 50's. Can you say turbo time! Bring your sticky tires though.

C'mon guys just because they have christmas lights all around the track does'nt mean we can't race. Ole and I are going to show up with the race cars and run the track at night with the christmas lights on.
