well went to a local volvo shop and what would you know. A 79 242 was sitting out back and the guy let the hood go for 50 bucks. I am a happy camper.:lol:

too bad shipping on a hood is so much. There are at least a few in the junkyards down here...

I've got a perfect condition single-round (non-GT) grill if ya want it. Right now it's hanging on my wall, but IIRC the mounting tabs and everything are perfect.
