Plan to be there around noonish, lightning the BBQ around 12:30. Bring what you want grilled and or dont mind sharing. I will have some supplies on hand but will not have enough meat/buns to feed everyone.

Im going to have 1 last BBQ of the year.

As far as what to bring
Snacks, soda, dip. Any of them is fine
I'll have buns and cheese and anything I need to cook burgers, but you will be providing meat. Please bring some cash to pool together for a "meat run" to the store. 5 bucks ussualy covers it fine.

Oakland is probably cheaper, less crowded, and certainly an easier shot to Sacto, since it's right off of I-580, about 10 minutes south of the 80/580/880 interchange. Plus it's about 2 minutes away from a Pick-n-Pull (you know, in case guests are obligated to bring gifts).

I won't come , but the prices were actually lot's cheaper than I initially thought. Maybe sometime in the future I'll take a trip to the US, and goof around. My gf has family in Toronto/Canada, she travels there annually. I could go along with her, split in Toronto after a few days, and check out USA on my own. Guess a flight to Cali won't be too expensive from there. Anyways, not Dec. the 17th ;-)

For most domestic flights, Oakland ends up being cheaper and easier. SFO is just busy, and expensive from my experience.

as long as the test drive works out and I think I can live with driving an older 242 a few days of the week, I will be in the market for '82 or newer 240 front struts to replace my '78 units and I'm going to need the entire fuel injection/turbo induction/exhaust from a B230FT model that has the Bosch LH instead of the Bosch K (I think I want to avoid the CIS)

Volvos NorCal Crew
Currenly, I believe we have 2 different set of stickers. One designed by Alen (mynessas40) and I just learned Nick (NEA) has one as well. Please plan on donating about 5~6 dollars for set of stickers to show your NorCal Volvo pride!!! This is the only way for us to be recognized at local shows and meets so I can't stress how important it is to have this. Unfortunately Alen will not be able to attend this meet since he can't get out of work, but I will meet up with him during the week day to get samples of stickers made. Guys, biggest thanks of the century! Hands down the best BBQ ever ever ever. I HOPE TO GOD someone documented the new burger we unveiled ... I think the count was something like 75 burgers, hot links (probably 2 dozen), 2 dozen kosher dogs, 6 cheddar brauts, tri tip, chicken... ya holy crap what a kick ass BBQ
