So, guess whose gracious parents got him a media blaster for his 21st birthday? Holla! I am now blasting anything and everything I can find thats made out of metal, and it's jolly good fun. But now, I can properly paint my manifold with some por-20. All I have is a pretty cheap lvhp pickup-tube type spray can-- should i dilute the por-20? By how much? And with what should I dilute it with? Do these pants make me look fat?

(I will soon post pics of my blasted turbine housing for the enjoyment of all!)

I haven't used POR20, but POR15. You just brush the stuff on, thick and nasty. It always dries perfect. Matter of fact I need to order some more to do my manifold and exhaust housing (as preventative measures)

I've used POR20 many times. It's great paint. As Doug says brush it on, nice and thick, multiple coats. It completely cures with the heat of the motor so you'll want to wear some gloves when handling the painted parts until it gets cured. The silver has lasted many years on our cars. I have only used it on normally aspirated cars, though. I haven't tried it on the turbos.

Enjoy the road,

It's been used here. Brad (volvo88) used it on his turbo and d/pipe. I still looks fine...

Borrowed from VZA's pics of our bbq this fall...

You can see the silver manifold is still pretty bright...

Flaked off my n/a manifold in no time. Maybe the prep was insufficient. I cleaned the rust off, did some wire brushing, a little sanding, and then brushed on two coats. The por-20 I used was VERY thin, almost watery. I still have some left, so maybe I'll try it again on a cleaner surface.
