i know the DP MK18 wheels are longer produced, however does anyone on this site happen to know the offset and backspacing info of these wheels in a 17"x8" front with a 17"x9" in the rear? any help would be greatly appreciated. (the reason i want to know this info is that i want to have a custom set of wheels made by either HRE or FISKE for my 242 as the current set i have im not happy with anymore. yes i am aware of the cost of having this done, but the cost will be offset by the sale of one of my other vehicles.) Gurus spew forth your knowledge upon me. thanks in advance

I'm hoping to have 9.5" wide wheels at 0 offset on the rear of a 240 within ~3 weeks. It will require pulled fenders.

For an 8" front wheel, 10-15mm offset will work fine. 15mm offset on an 18x8 with 225/40/18 tire fits easily. The backspacing you get at that width/offset cannot be much greater before the tire will hit the strut tube. I'd suggest the largest offset you can fit in the front.

hmm, well, most work off the stock measurements and go from there. If you plan to use 17" rims, and 8" wide front and 9" rear. you will have to push the rear wheels out about 3/4" and the fronts about 1/2". And you still will need to roll fenders or the under fender lips in front. I run 18x7 front with stock offsets but I have 1" spacers for my R brakes. My rear tires stayed 18x7 but I moved the offset 1/2" out, to give the rear tires a better stance than the stock, way too far inboard look. Those fit fine, and I did roll the rear fenders some to avoid rubbing. When I put on the matching set of 1" spacers to compensate what I did to the fronts, I cut, mangled and beat the inner fenders and still had major rub issues. Basically, I need some mild body work to make my rear tires fit with 1" spacers which be 1.5" more outboard than stock offset. The end result is the rear tires look like the are at the edge of the fenders and not way inboard. Tire size will also have an effect, but not much.
Try doing a search on fender rolling techniques or inner fender work.

Cheers

I'm trying soooo hard to get in touch with SOMEONE who knows about Rondell or Super DTM wheels for RWD Volvos. I want 18 x 8.5 or 18 x 9... Talked to Wheelexchange.com, and e-mailed the manufacturer in Germany... to no avail. They both say that they don't make those wheels in a 5 x 108 pattern.

How then, is everyone and their brother in Sweden getting these wheels for their bricks???

i too called / asked around about the rondell wheels. maybe rondell casts the bolt pattern into their version of the wheel?

just get them from supergummihuest and be done with it, what's another $1400 on top of what you have into the car???
