thats just what i've been looking for. i was after solid tappets ofr my B234F in my 242.

regarding the tappets, they are standard renault items, found in the 340, 440, and 460, also many older renault cars will have them, but they are the exact same diameter as the 16valve hydraulic lifters. Ask your local renault dealer or breaker for bucket tappets for the F2N engine or 1721cc/1794cc or 1998 cc renault engines. The shims you can just buy in different thickness from 3.500mm - 5.500mm. The idea of installing these was to push the rev band up a bit as max power was being lost over 5,500-6,000 rpm with the hydraulic ones. Guess the oil pressure exceeds their threashold at that rev band.

thats cool as my B234F in my 242 is balanced and runs a custom header and exhaust so once it's got MS&EDIS it should have a enough fuel to run right past 5.5K RPM which it doesn't like doing at present starts making nasty noises.
