Old Boost guage video(how fast does your turbo spool?)

just diggin around on my old videos and i find this

anyone else besides me freak out @ how quick the boost goes from 5-15+

I don't think it's the auto trans, Mike - it's the Mitsu turbine. My 15g spools just like that.

Is that red light going on and off your knock light?

yea it goes off over 5k rpm no matter what .. most all of my videos are when running race gas so .... tho it could always be knock but eh


and yea these damn TD04's are just so pimp ... can't wait till my 16t w/ ported to hell(when i say hell i mean it) flat housing gets here ...

so that turbo, and a 3k stall and built AW71(if i can ever get it) should be good for 13.4's @ least haha

Are you sure you didn't accidently put a supercharger on? ;)

Mine spools pretty fast... just the small T3 w/ 10psi of boost. I should get a video sometime of it.

HAH!!! That's pretty cool. Way quick... As long as I'm above the boost threshhold, (rpm's) the Holset spools pretty quick too. Not quite like that though!

Mine is *almost* that fast, jumps up to 14 psi in just slightly longer time. Then it sometimes gets a bit bouncy, surging between 12 - 15 psi. I'm thinking an EBC might be better than tthe MBC?

I tried cranking the boost up even higher and got a light sprinkling of pings when the boost first spikes up, but none under susatined pulling. I took that as a warning of some sort not to do that with my 13C.

Dude my car spools straight to 15 pounds anytime you go past 1/2 throttle, even when you're cruising at 15" of vacuum at speed. I love my TD04, but can't wait for Eamonn's header to arrive so I can install my Holset :twisted:
