Best Injectors To Use

He guys I have a friend whos got a 89' 740 turbo. He built up a b230ft, went 30 over and is having fun. But recently he has gotten sputtering problems and hesitation. Hes running a t3-t04e with a ported 90+ manitfold. Hes still running amm and dosent want to go megasquirt at the moment. He also has some wierd high pitched sound thats sounds like its coming from one of the back two injectors. Any thought on this would help out a bunch. Were heading to the yard tom to get some stuff. Ford Brown Tops

What do the brown tops come out of. Here in san antonio there arent a lot of volvo yards that are fair. Ive been searching most of the search. I just hear ford=brown tops. WHat ford? What kind of mods do we need to do to make them work? If any. Any help will help thanks.

ford turbo coupes ... 2.3L turbo, injector tops are brown .. there are like 50+ threads about them do a search

Ok. Now I see where to find the injectors. Now does anyone know what would cause the other problems I mentioned?????

vac leak? the sound is coming FROM the injectors? or near where they are?

We havent gotten a chance to break anything down to see whats going on. But when the car warms up and he steps on the gas it sounds like hes got a supercharger. At first we thought it was like the alternator or something going bad but it comes from the area of the injectors.

no idea, the alt on my wagon does that so i couldn't help ya. no idea y an injector would whine, THO if its coming from the back of the engine it could always be the torque converter if the car is an auto as they do that before they die

Nope. 5speed. I dont get it either. His car sounds like its missfiring just a little.

Found out the problem. The rear cylinder went out. Injector went bad so no flame. Going out to find brown tops today. 3 cylinder volvo running 15 pounds of boost for a few months. That thing ran pretty quick.

use cfi's out of a early fi ford(2 per car)
