I know I personally plan to make a pligrimage to IPD and The V Shop friday during the day also (probably not too late in the day in case peter and pat and ole (and kyle?) wanna skip out early


so....who's up for an OVT meet on friday, 5/26? We could get dinner, hang somewhere, check out cars, etc. I just wanna meet youse guys and see all of your rust free gems

The trip should be fun because my whole family lives on the west coast, and he's never really truly been there and appreciated the wonderfulness that is the NW and Cali. I hope we get to see a lot of you!

well guys, we finally figured out airfare, and Mary and I bought airline tickets yesterday. Using orbitz.com, we got two adjacent seats flying with United Airlines from BWI to PDX by way of SFO. Round trip, it came out to $590 for the two of us. Now to see about renting a Volvo....(anyone got any tips about that? Mary said they were HELLA expensive to rent for a week)

unfortunately, internship/job schedules are forcing us to only be able to stay in the PDX for a week, which means that the norcal portion of our trip had to get axed :-(

However, I am still most definetly planning on hitting Vshop and IPD while i'm there (not open saturday, correct?), and it would be super cool if we could get a mini meet going down somewhere in or around Portland during the day on like Saturday the 27th.

We'll be flying out Monday, 5/22 and returning home Sunday, 5/28, to give you an idea of our time frame

I think next year as a graduation present (heck, mary wants to go to UC Berkeley for grad school...) I wanna plan another trip out to cali, and really explore the state. I've only been to San Diego/Coronado, so I haven't yet gotten to see anything else but the very south bits of SoCal.

i know the V shop closes at 2pm friday, but most other people likely won't be done with their work stuff till ~6pm anyway. maybe we could try and get a meet together either at a popular destination or at someone's house?

So far, Oregon has been incredible...albeit a bit gray. We spent yesterday down in Lincoln City and today came back up thru Pacific City and hit an Indian casino on the way up. The road up thru lincoln city (101, i think) was a great 45 mile drive thru the mountains...lots of on-camber twisties and elevation changes.

so, we are still most definitely planning to come to portland on Friday to see IPD and The VShop. Mary and I will be having dinner with her uncle Friday night, so we were thinking a bigger meet sometime saturday would give everyone more time to hang out and stuff.

I'm at the McMinnville public library right now for internet access, but I think I could check back periodically like tomorrow and early friday to see what the scoop is. Tomorrow specifically should be fun...we're doing wine tours :gulp:

anyway, lemme know what you guys wanna do. I'm outta my element on this one.

Anywho, here's what I'm thinking, I haven't heard from Billy, so, whatever. If he's in town Sunday, I'd love to have a BBQ at the V Shop at Noon, and we can have the Indy 500 on the TV while we munch and talk ish and what not. From what I'm hearing, which is VERY LITTLE, I don't think this is going to happen, 1. because I don't think Billy is still going to be here, and 2. because not many people are talking about it.
