i decided to fab up a panel for my 240 for 2 additional gauges. since i can't do the 3 gauge cubby hole setup in the 79, i took this route. i used some 1/8" aluminum i had laying around and sanded it with 80 grit on my random orbit sander. looks pretty nice i think. :)

its hard to tell, but the gauges do have angle rings on them. oh, and they are 2 5/8".

Always good to have more information. I've seen the upper middle dash used for more gauges on the early dash and that looks good, too. The texture on the aluminum looks good.

Why 7 bar? Seems like a whole lot of guage just to measure oil pressure. Looks like a good install though.

why 7 bar? its just what i found. i wanted a 2 5/8" metric gauge. it has a couple of extra bar than i would like to have, but i think it will work pretty well.

yeah, i like the texture. my wife convinced me to keep it that way. i was going to paint it flat black.

now its time for the heater core and fan motor.

the 405 head comes back from the machine shop in 2 weeks. i'll post pics.
