I'm in the process of MSing my car right now, don't get any funny ideas you sick fcukers  I'm using MSII and although it doesnt quite have the level of features (yet) that MSnS-Extra has, its way faster plus I don't like the idea of an 8bit cpu running my car. Well i was wondering if anyone else is running MSII and why everyone seems so content with MSI.

personally i dont use it but im going to take a stab in the dark and say because they know it works well and they have seen its work. its possible for the MSII to be that popular or even more so then MSI but it takes time.

So MS II doesn't have boost control?

i need COP. ms-II doesnt do that. msns-extra also has about 3 times the number of features.

boost control? nope not yet. :) but, MSII will give you almost 10x the timing resolution.

dont go nocking 8 bit.

if nintendo could do all that.

imagine how easily 8 bits can do the simple input - output functions of running a car.

:???: say what? adjust timing to the tenth of a degree? pardon me if I give that a big Dubya Tee Eff. Timing is a crapshoot at 1 degree resolution for chrissakes.

i think he means you can adjust timing in much smaller RPM increments, this raising the resolution

MSII'ing this winter. Features will come, and I'm interested in fuel resolution at the moment.

msII is the sh1t i think, msns boost controll dosn't work anyways, just breakdown and get an ebc. the new grippo board has like 10-12 extra in/outs and you can daisy chain them, ms is getting a little more $$ to go all out

With the V3 board and MSnS-E I got the high current driver for running the coil, AND I can upgrade to MSII when the number of features has surpassed (or at least equal to) that of -E.

when I said timing resolution, I didnt mean ignition timing, my bad for not specifying. I meant the actual speed the ECU responds to changing input, not to mention like what benflyyn said about resolution.

Yeah, I bought a whole MSII V3 kit (not to upgrade my current setup)

I'm gonna "phase out" my current V2.2 board and relegate it to backup status in my closet (you know - seal it up good in an antistat bag, backup cd, etc)

I'm in no hurry and I really bought MSII solely for backup purposes. I plan on installing the MSII on my desk for a couple of months and do some custom coding. If I don't blow it up, then I may be dropping it in the Volvo say - Octoberish?
