What is the grey wire on the intake side connector?

I have the pinout from Lord Athlon (thanks) http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=58534
Quote:

this is the pinout from the firewall connector by the intake manifold.

1) Black: Oil Pressure sensor
2) Yellow: Temperature sensor
3) Red: Alternator D+ #61 (idiot light)
4) Blue-Red: Solenoid Valve, carburetor For me this is grey w/ spade

5) Blue-Yellow: Starter solenoid #50 ignition switch
6) Green: Thermal switch, Lambda-Sond
7) Blue: Fuel injection system connection
8) Brown: Starter solenoid #16

Then from there, you can remove all the wires related to the CIS system and lambda comp (Those arent that hard, the ones going through the firewall plug on the passenger side...a few run across to the intake. Also, when removing be careful with the headlights on the passenger side, some wires from the compy run in the same sheath.) I hope ive been of some help.

and It includes a red/blue (don't have), and I have a grey with a spade connector on the end, anyone take a guess?

Thanks

Ill run out to my car and see if I see anything. It could be for the oil pressure gauge...the gauge and idiot light use different wires.

THe grey wire is short, goes somewhere on the mani I think.

Can I wire the green/black for the oil sensor together? (b230 Swap, only one terminal)

Yeah, that's the way it is listed in my '84 wiring diagram, though I'll bet the green wire at terminal #6 isn't the thermal switch as designated because the thermal switch uses a gray wire. I'll bet your gray #4 (gray on my '84 242Ti as well) is the thermal switch, and maybe the green wire at #6 is for the pressure switch above the dip stick tube (both this and the thermal switch connect to the the same terminal #7 on the lambda-sond ECU.
