Switch for a turbo?!

I was wondering, if it was possible to turn your turbo on or off when you wish with a switch.
I was thinking about tuboing my 240 but i would only really need it when i want to have fun. I know that a turbo on a non turbo engine is hard on the engine.

Maybe you could get an in car MBC and just turn the boost down to like... 3PSI when you dont "need" the power. :freak: I dont know why you would wanna do this. If youre trying to save fuel...just go easy on the throttle. Ohh yeh, I dont think a LPT is much harder on the engine. Just make sure you have an intercooler on the thing since you dont want really hot air going into a compression of 10:1.

I dont really know too much about turbos. I just thought it would be cool to have a huge ass turbo and when a guy laughs at my car. Just blow them away.

kinda reminds me of a guy i went to school with, had this crappy ass riced civic and thought it was the fastest thing on the planet cuz it was a manual. everytime he raced someone (and lost) he'd say "man, if i had a turbo i would have beat you"....sigh.....

It already comes with an on and off switch. I think they call it a throttle.
The more you push it down the faster you go. There is a pedel next to it on the left called the brake. That one slows you down when you have gone so fast you scared yourself. The switch on the throttle kicks on the turbo when it has passed a preset point. The trick it to find that point where the turbo turns on. If you turn on the turbo and it scares you, you can turn it off buy simply lifting or releasing pressure of your foot off that pedel on the right. :rofl:

You could make a vacuum solenoid switch thingy that would allow you to switch between two boost settings(high & low). Some others have done this I think. By stages do you mean two turbos?? One turbo comes on at normal cruising speeds but when you really punch it the second one spools up too. I assume thats what you mean?

Yea the two boost setting is what i am talking about. Is it possible to have low psi and then have a high psi.

I just dont feel like ruining a good engine by putting a high psi turbo on there.

Actually i am racing one person. He talks **** about my car and says its ganna fall apart in a year. Hes drivin a Hynadai Tiberron. With a inline 4. hes getting a turbo so i thought. May be if i beat him him shut the **** up. all he ever does is rag on my car. Just cause im the (poor kid, go to a private school) I threaten him repeatedly but no he has to act like a dumbass. Soo i thought i would be come a t bricker. But not a hard core one. I still like NA engines. who knows maybe ill come around :e-shrug:

I HATE people like that. If I had the money and the ability to get around the law. I would have one bullet for every person in this world like that. They are given nice things, but treat them like ****! What do I get? a 500 dollar Volvo. Do I talk **** about it? Do I hate it? NO! Its a car! Hell! I think its a nice one too! Someone rags on my car, I wont care. If it gets excessive, ill drive it to their house in the middle of the night and show them what its like to also have a quiet car, and a strong arm. Theres a girl at my school that drives a BMW M3!!! She did a project and said "When I grow up, I want a nice car" and had a picture of a HONDA...a HONDA!!!! I wanted to slap her. Many times. In highschool we had a thing for best car. The two people that won were this chick with a bmw 330 or somethink like that and some kid with a saab 9 5 convertable. Neither of these kids spent a fuc*&ng dime on the car or put any work into it other than pulling the gas door so the full serve gas attendant can put gas in it on thier dadys credit card. So I belive there should be 2 groups of people. Kids who worked for thier **** and got some good **** going, and kids that had a sweet sixteen and got hooked the hell up. Tiberon..... every male in san fran has one of them if you know what I mean. Tell him you will race him in 100k, when his car is nothing but a pile of rust and your car is running strong. when it comes down to it, remember he is driving a Hundi or whatever it is, doens't matter to me.

You could install a Saab APC system and put a switch in the power source. With no power the system would run off the factory setting of the waste gate, 7.5 psi. All you would have to do flip the switch to energize the APC system and run all the boost you wanted at a higher setting such as 14 psi.
The APC system piggy backs the factory set up. So if the APC system goes down you still have the 7.5 psi.
As far as being single goes most of my friends have been married for the last 15 to 20 years and out of maybe 10 couples I can say 1 maybe 2 husbands are really happy being married. These guys use to be a lot of fun to be around. I hardly ever see them ever smile anymore. They kind of mope around and never really talk about their wives or kids.

Don't know if you'd beat him or not? The one I played with on the road which I think was a v6 was extremely sad IMO. I Posted it on here a while ago. Anyone with a turbo brick could probably idle pass a 4 banger version.

Dunno about the turbo kit but there is a supercharger kit for the Tibby. They can make some decent power with that. If he blew up is Honda chances are he will blow up his Hyundai with a SC or Turbo kit. :rofl: If mommy buys him SC kit atleast you'll get a good laugh when he blows a piston out of his hood.

I'd say the following: Dont let some rich bastard get you down, just figure out a way to become richer than he, buy the company he works for, fire him and give him a bad review. Money comes and goes. On the whole relationship thing:
Single has its perks, Dating has its perks, Comitted relationships have their perks, but marriage seems to bring out the manipulative bitch in every woman. Its like you have to keep them in check, as soon as you tell them you love em they change. Once they bag you, they start to gut and skin you to make themselves a nice fur coat.

Women wear masks, they appear as one thing but really they are another, even on the most basic level they change their appearance (by wearing makeup). Sometimes the masks are very pretty, but whats underneath is disgustingly ugly. Finding one that dosent wear a mask is the key, but thats impossible. They use words like trust, love and comitment, but they dont mean them. Everybody lies in one way or another. The grass is always greener, and hind sight is 20/20.
