ICE RCKT

well, after driving with a leaking/bad-patch-job exhaust for 3/4 of a year, I finallly got it done. Here's the breakdown.
stock downpipe
3" Carsound (=Magnaflow apparently!) polished SS cat
2.5 custom bent intermediate pipe to the muffler
3" Magnaflow 6"-round muffler
turn-down before the rear axle
I'll get some pics on my pbase site after this weekend... being the london show and all...
I'm more than impressed with this setup. The sound is fantastic, especially when playing with the turndown. If you take it out (read, it wasn't in at first) the car is REALLY LOUD! Whoa. That 3" can dumps out a bassy drone that could drown out the most powerful of sound systems. With the turndown in... the car behaves and drives like there's something slightly ajar... not that noticeable. I love the sound of the system though... most pleased.
I was planning on getting 3" for the intermediate pipe... but one tends not to argue with someone fabbing an exhaust for a '70's Ferrari to be shipped to the states that has to be finished before noon so he can then start my little pipe. Further explanation led to stories of his 944T that rips diff's to shreds and whatnot... I'm happy, regardless. The combo with the 3" hardware is interesting... the car has never felt so powerful. All I need now is a rear valence that'll hide what I have under there...
