......made a huge difference.....gobs more torque.....not that much louder, pretty quiet.

Plus, my new acquisition......a baby-blue monster......

The 242 might do a flat 12......12 minutes that is!!!! She stalls constantly....I bought it for the body, straight, no rust 242...the engine needs help. Turbo is what's on the menu. I am contemplating a T5 with a getrag, or even a T4 from a X40 car. Of course, a stout 16 valve penta based engine is still an option....

As far as the 850 goes, since I got the 2 muffler system, it's pretty quiet. It rumbles nicely, but not rudely offensive like a rice rocket....made a nice boost in my torque curve. Builds boost sooner, and pulls stronger. I got it from JT Tuning in Sweden. It's a 3" mandrel bent, aluminized steel. I got some exhaust paint just to spray it, then it'll hold up better. With shipping, it cost me $595.....and it only took 7 business days door-to-door.... Then I got a 3" cat on ebay. The whole system is clamped, took about 30 minutes from start to finish for 2 people to pull the old one, and install the new one. They claim an 8-15% increase over stock. I think 15% is a bit optimistic, but I take the 8%....that'd come out to about 18 extra ponies.

I can probably get some pics of it installed....unfortunately I only snapped 3 when it arrived.

I had JT's single muffler system on my old 745 turbo, and it had a nice sound to it. Since I haul my wife and kids in this one, I wanted it to be a bit more subtle so I got a 2 muffler system.

Looks like fun man. Can you post a sound clip? I'm in the market for a new system for my 88 745t and not sure what I want. :cool:
