wow, this must be the most annoying question possible:
where do you think i may procure one of those OEM aerokits (airflow, i believe the particular one is called) or perhaps maybe replacement parts for the front/rear lower valence and side skirts for a 91 740 SE? what you think the probabilities a random volvo dealership will have something like this lying around their parts wharehouse?

i know one of the guys here has the one i'm after, he has it on his SICK wagon (which i believe has a v8 conversion) but its simply the most amazing thing one could conceivably do to a 700 series volvo to improve its appearance.

its either sell my soul and some organs for this kit...or install an 850 bumper cover and, i dunno, wing it for the side skirts and rear valence.

also somewhat related: where might i find one of those blue-ish volvo emblems? like the ones on the newer bricks, one of those would look sexy in my soon to be color-matched grill....oh yes.....

thanks for any help peeps..

I got my kit through one of the Regional Volvo clubs. A dealer donated the kit and the club sold it on one of the volvo for sale web sites.

if you really want one of these kits, you can search for sale sites on a regular basis. IPD, Brickboard, Tbricks, and the others out there. A dealer should also be able to search the national database, looking for parts.

Spend time at wrecking yards too. once and a while I'll see volvo's with aftermarket body kits in my local yard. (never seen an airflow kit yet though) some of the larger wrecking yards (or volvo specialty yards) might even know what you are looking for. But if they do, they also know the price that it is worth.

Emery also has one of these kits on his v8 conversion. If you can find his email address, you can ask him where he found his.

You could also do a 95 and later 960 conversion. I think the front ends on those cars are really nice looking.

take care,
