In an effort to avoid taking my transmission off, does anyone know the tooth count of the 850 trigger wheel. This is off a 1993 volvo 5 spd.

if i had to guess, i would say 60-2, as this is what 960's have

I wonder how many for the Jetronic 850's, thats been a question in the front of my mind recently.....
Did you ever manage to get megasquirt to decode the 60-2? Fuel shouldn't be bad since you can batchfire it, but how about ignition control?

Well I finished my Megasquirt, I am just waiting for the wiring harness to come in, and I am going to hook it up and see what happens. If anyone has a MS-extra map for timing and fuel for an 850 I would appreciate it, no matter how rough it is.

ya i actually was running it. drove the car for 5-10 minutes before i toasted the headgasket which later led me to my split block:lol:

i kinda cheated by running wasted spark (which i will run if everything works up to 7k rpm, considering it saves me three outputs). the 5 cylinders have to run with the second input on the cam sensor, to be able to sync properly. at that point you can either use one output for the distro, or 5 for direct ignition.
