Hi

Where did you find these pictures. I come from Australia and I know of a early 264 fitted with a 4L lexus V8 with the lexus auto and 2 240/260 fitted with a nissan VG30det (V6 3L double overhead cam injected single turbo) and a 242 fitted with a nissan RB30et (I6 single overhead cam injected single turbo) this is a OZ only engine. and that not listing the V8 conversions. When it is hard or expensive to find a volvo turbo engine like it is in OZ these type of engine conversion become a easy and cost effective way of making your old volvo go. I am looking into a simliar type of engine conversion when the B28f in my 760 dies

I'm confused, are you saying that the S2000 would be nice as a rear drive? They are rear drive you know...

^^ yea, S2k is rwd.

and S2k is not the 1st front engine rear wheel drive Honda.

in the 60s Honda had S600, S800 convertables, and they were front engine rear wheel drive.

S2k is based on their spirit.

and I found them on VWvortex

There was a video floating around Supraforums a while ago of a AE86 with a t'boed 3 rotor, looked pretty damn fast. and, honda makes good engines but the BMW with a rice burner in it is blasphemy

I love the heat wrap on the header on the bottom pic. very slick engine setup, honda or otherwise. (Ya, I know I deserve:slap:now)

You know what I never understand, I see pics of different engine swaps and most of them look like crap. I mean, if you've got the motor out, clean em and paint em, engine bay included.

With exception to that second volvo, almost all of those look like crap under the hood.

Why didn't the first bmw just put a bmw i6 in it, I guess he doesn't like torque. The S2000 motor produces 240 HP. The E36 M3 motor produces an identical 240 HP. However, the BMW motor produces 236 lb-ft of torque, while the S2000 motor produces a mere 150 lb-ft.

Yeah a M3 engine would have made more sense. It would make way more torque and bolt a dinan SC on there and look out. He must be some Jap yuppy...

Some of the sixes are great. The six in the M6 which is a great BMW if you are rich, and is also used in the M5 after 91. Those things go, they aren't as torquey as the new M5, but much more top end and potential. A small computer tweak and 390HP here we come, there is no way in hell I'd have the money for one of those, but if the 240Hp out of the other BMW six weren't enough I would invest in an older M6 6 cylinder. With a turbo the S2000 motor might stand a chance, but I still wouldn't choose it over a large displacement BMW six.

OH and BTW the supra motor in the 940 is dope. I in no way have that kind of money for that either, but that is a killer car. I dream of making my car look like that. Someone idn't just do a hack job, they look great and the rice motors look right at home 90 degrees turned and in a large bay with a huge turbo, takes the rice image out of the equation. It still doesn't look like a jag motor or anything, but it gives the rice burner alot of class compared to seeing it in a civic bay with tons of plastec and neon garbage, plus being attached to a transaxle.

no matter what, i still think that the F20C looks so incredibly kickass... simply because its "sideways" or for our cars, turned the right way... but those supra engines would be incredibly cool.... :hitit:
